Stan Meyer's patents from the 1970's-1990's were based on the patents of a guy from the 1950's, and his were based on a guy from the 1930's.

If you seriously doubt progress is made overnight then look up the many 'Stan Meyer water powered dune buggy' videos on Youtube. The man drove his 40hp VW powered dune buggy 2300 miles on 22 gallons of water. Stan Meyer was killed by oil industry shills in 1998.

The tech is still there in now-expired patents and Kevin West, a regular guy from Oregon, worked 5 years to replicate Stan Meyers work. To date he has the first half done, which produces the hydrogen from a high-voltage alternator. The other half is (in my opinion) beyond anyone other than a chemist, as the second half involves using LED's in injectors to feed the hydrogen/oxygen into the engine.

So yeah, call BS all you want, but people will find a way with or without the Govt. Just takes longer is all.

Besides, if the E-Cat is sold outside the USA but not in it, can you imagine the outcry from the public when we still need oil while everyone else is using clean/cheap energy from it?

This is like some numnuts trying to get a patent on boiling water....as if it is some kind of mystery.

Perhaps the 'missing' part of the patent involves a not overly rare, but not commonly used substance and Rossi doesn't want to start a run on stocks for the few compan(y)ies that manufacture(s) what his device calls for.

Nickel is #28 on the periodic table. Copper is 29, so by combining an atom of nickel with an atom of hydrogen, you add 1 additional proton and create copper. A tiny amount of the mass is converted into energy in the process.

In hot fusion, two hydrogen atoms combine to create one helium atom, but it requires a temperature of millions of degrees and extremely high pressure. Cold fusion combines light elements with heaver elements and can take place at much lower temp and pressure. Of course, TPTB go to great lengths to convince the sheeple that this is impossible because the earth is flat and lies at the center of the universe. God almighty decreed that the rich rule over the poor and employ them as their slaves and that's the way it is!

The self destruct is to protect intellectual property. Read the article. The reason being that if an instance of the device were reverse-engineered before the rightful patent application could be completed, it would interfere with completion.

This plan has one flaw.

As someone who has been through the patent process several times, I can't assure you the invention is valid, but I can assure you that Rossi's steps to protect his IP are.

It's viscious, especially with the Chinese owning everyone who is being paid to protect intellectual property.

A self-destruct is quite an ingenious and valid idea.

To preserve intellectual property and trade secrets, because the patent office is dragging its feet in granting a patent, Andrea Rossi is being forced to design a self destruct mechanism to be built into every E-Cat (Energy Catalyzer) used by the public. This could delay the public (non-industrial) launch of the technology.

The design would be easy to copy, the only thing holding me back from making one is the secret catalyst used in the nickel. As soon as that is listed in the patent people can build their own. I'm sure some people will be nervous and want to buy units that are production built, but we are close to have cheap energy with no bad side affects. There is no radiation produced!

Because, as I was told by some people who were really interested in backing my home-wood-steam power generator...people are too dumb to play with fire. If some idiot blows himself up with a boiler because he had a few too many and decided to charge his batteries...it would (could) simply be outlawed.

So give the guy a patent, he's building one in Greece anyhow, and let him go with it. Then if one blows...(through sheer incompetence) it is the owners fault OR the builders fault and NOT in the gaze of Sauron for a full outlawing.
