Why is it that it seems everyone these days is always someone else? It seems that there is an underlying motive or personality that always rears in the times when doors are finally being opened.

Trust, to humanities detriment, has become a multifaceted term that at one time meant something. Something that was attached to a length of time. These days, it's 'trust while convenient'. Don't hand out something whole, unless you are ready to get it back in jagged pieces, tied to mendacious reasoning.

Why is this getting so bad?

Wow, haven't seen you post in a quite a while. Good to see you again Gradient. There are a few "real" people left, but most today are hypnotized by popularism and entertainment.

Why is this? Our culture has degraded from one of honour and honesty to one of depravity and self absorbtion. People use to have principles and stood up for them. Now situtation ethics and immorality on all fronts rules the day as gutless weasels lie cheat and steal for what they want without regard to others. People use to be responsible for themselves and looked out for their family, neighbors and even people they didn't know. Now, not only will no one stop to help a lady with a flat tire, they won't even get out of the car to fix their own. Out comes the cell phone and it's someone elses responsibility, not thiers.

People use to trust in God and were thankful for His blessings. Now people have shoved God off into a distant memory of grandparents. They blame God for anything that doesn't go the way they want and take credit for anything that does.

It's going to get worse before it gets better. Pride comes before a fall and we in that process now.

I lost over 75k on a handshake deal. That was the last time I trusted anyone in business dealings I should say....

But it was by the shaking of the hand, looking in the eyes and meaning what we say. I delivered and when it came time for the payday.....well you know the rest of the story...

I am that way, but my truth is so crazy from reality for most, they think I am kidding. But nope.

It may be that simple. People in too much of a hurry to get this or that, in effect, downgrading the character of the ego. Too bad it's usually an expensive mistake.

No Sir, it is not gone. Trust will come back again. Right now we are on the verge of destruction, humanity is flying out the door. But once we destroy everything that is normal, normal will return with the handshake.
