Like you been friends a while but you get on each others nerves or one might annoy the other one. And you kind of felt like the only reason you were friends is because you were suppose to act like that with each other?

I don't have any friends to hang out with, so no.

I have no friends because people are low down dirty motherfuckers who want nothing more than to take what you have... and I want no part of their bullshit.

I think "hanging out" and "partying" is utter complete fucking ignorance, and I don't truly respect anyone who does it.

The four laws of sociodynamics:

1. We are attracted/nice to people who can offer us something.

2. We are repelled by people who want something from us.

3. We are indifferent to people from whom we want nothing and vice-versa.

4. Sometimes, we are nice to people from whom we might benefit in the future.

After age 30 or so nobody has "friends," not really. Just your family and maybe -- MAYBE -- one or two close friends in the neighborhood or people that you've known so long they are almost like famiy.

After you hit that age or so, it'S increasingly hard to make "friends" the way you could when you were younger, for all sorts of reasons.

I agree, I've been saying this some time now. I'm the type that really has hardly any 'friends' and people in my family keep questioning me as 'why'? I tell them the exact same thing you told me. Although I'm not 30 yet.

I agree with the temporary handlers thing. Some people keep you under crazy mind control esp if you add drugs to the picture. Some people wont talk to you ever again if you decide to think for yourself and live your own life.

I was never into the partying scene but I had been around people who managed to warp me pretty bad, in a culty way.

My circle of friends isn't very large.

I have a few I truly love and respect..I won't be in a position, ever, to be forced to tolerate someone I don't want around.
And the LORD spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.

I am an evil giraffe, and I shall eat more leaves from this tree than perhaps I should, so that other giraffes may die.

Ten years ago I would have disagreed vehemently with OP and most other responders.

I was 25 ten years ago. I am 35 now.

If you are a human being, or bipedal mammal of any type then I do not trust you right off the bat. You are only nice to me because you think I have something that you can manipulate out of me. If I demonstrate independent thought or express my own opinions when they disagree with yours the you will IMMEDIATELY go find someone who DOES agree with you solely for the purposes of slandering me to anyone who will listen.

If you are a human being, you are an idiot and feel threatened by others who you are afraid might be more intelligent than you.

Me? I'm terrified of ANYONE who has more money than me (I'm very poor) because they have the power in the society to keep me down and they WILL use it if given half a chance.

The safest thing for me to do is interact with other humans only in an online environment. Ask for nothing, accept no favors, accept nothing from anyone for any reason ever because they WILL use it against you in the future ("Well I loaned you that 5 bucks last year so you should let me have this job instead of you and if you don't I'll just shit talk you to the boss so you don't get hired.") 5 years ago I was the guy on the net screaming for people to get offline and go enjoy the real world. I *hate* the real world because I know everyone in that world hates me and will do everything on their power to keep me down because that's how it's always been.

In short. OP, yes, I know exactly what you're talking about and I finally decided that if someone got on my nerves or was just too stupid for me to hang out with then I will just simply not hang out with them and will (not politely) tell them never to come to my house or attempt to contact me ever again. Some people are so stupid they just think I'm in a bad mood and then they come knockin on the door a week later like I never told them to fuck off forever or anything. That's when feelings really get hurt.

Fuck people.

If you're human, particularly an American human, then you are most likely dumb as a bag of hammers and a piece of shit that is making the world a shittier place to live in every day you don't kill yourself.

lol this is so not true. If you have kids, maybe, but if you don't the world is your oyster.

For the first time I am thinking I need to get off the internet lest I become another paranoid, tight ass, friendless outcast.

Everything in existence is transitory and based on the duality of connection and disconnection..we just cling to things (both good and bad) in order gain a sense of meaningful connection, stability and normality...Enjoy the duality and the occasional fleeting moments of pure Zen..When you see the illusion and accept it.
