i don't like comedians who curse and talk filthy. for some reason it makes me cringe and it disgusts me. some of it is ok, i'll watch it. i just think people should have manners and follow a certain code in public. i don't have a #1 favorite, i like many.

Charlie Chaplin excelled at physical comedy! Johnny Depp mimicked him in the movie Benny and Joon, which if you haven't seen you should add that to your list of movies to watch.

I've never seen him in person, but people have told me that Bob Saget does some really funny stand-up stuff, maybe a little too much cursing, though.
