ive noticed also that they may be limiting the water pumping operations to only pump at nightfall, in order to achieve less smoke visble on the tv cameras..

ok bright spotlight now and plent of smoke emerging from either a spent fuel pond or a reactor..
either way we're fucked.

could be a spent fuel fire or a fire in the turbine rooms. moran!

Whatever it is it's doing something... If it was just a small thing then it wouldn't be lasting so long.

And it seems to be increasing the longer it goes on...

And if you look at the base of reactor 4 I think you can see a slight orange glow occasionally... Is that just me or does anyone else notice that too?

Smoke can look white against a night sky man... that's why I posted the pic showing where I see a fire from.

Pretty dark for steam.

I watch this cam quite a bit and the steam is never this dark.

What is the light source do you suppose on the reactors?
And the reactors only?

Are you familiar with what a plant looks like at night?
Do you know about lights in the parking lot?
Do you know about lights on office buildings and maintence sheds?
Are you aware that there would be lights on the long turbine room running behind the reactors?

Lights usually appear as as large outdoor floodlights and from a distance it would look something like this:

I am speaking mainly of the lighting of support facilities.

Then whats that orange glow at the base of reactor 4 that it seems the smoke/steam is coming from.

Cause it looks like the glow from a flame to me

And it's flickering, if it was the light that was shining on the building to light it up then the flicker would show on the building

Now explain what the light source is for the video of the "reactors" and why only they show up in the pictures just because that is your only area of interest?

It is about the stupidest thing yet to come out of this whole Fukushima saga are these "FAKE LIVE" videos.

Since you have another screen just with the videos going why don't you open up the flickr photos I have posted and just compare the quality of the film. The definition
and what actual REAL photos look like since you must have forgotton.

I wasn't arguing. :) I was trying to point out although it is night, a discerning eye can distinguish between white and black.

Black = fire.

White = either steam, or a fire that is in the process of burning out.

I looked. It doesn't look like "white" smoke/steam to me.

Even if it is steam, that means the temperatures are still very high and radiation is being sent up.
