Anonymous Coward User ID: 1253975 United States 04/17/2011 08:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm personally studying this and even informally and stealthily interviewing officers within reach. I find that there are three kinds of traits officers possess: 1. Sheoplistic (even though they are authoritarian to their "subjects". 2. Authoritarian (enjoying beating down their "subjects") 3. Common Law (follow common sense, constitutional law precepts) I find that the individual officers that are bad usually are more sheoplistic and authoritarian but the good officers tend to think for themselves and tend to think that people are better and will think for themselves. Those officers tend to be more common law oriented. Regardless of the officers, bad situations also depend on the local administration. If the commander (sheriff, chief) is more one direction or the other, he will tend to reward officers that are more like him. As such the tendency of the administration nullifies of amplifies the various traits listed above. When officer violate your rights, they are traitors to the constitution. While I never recommend violence, people that commit treason to the document they swore allegiance to protect and the people they are supposed to "serve" should receive the most sever punishment we can dish out. An officer that burglarizes should receive twice the sentence that a civilian burglar because he had to go twice as far to cross the line. |
