k, WEIRD bird behaviour
My friend opens the front door to leave and he tells me to come see, says he hears a load of flapping and a bird came at him, sure enough in the porch is a bird cornered. He leaves so I go to shu it away, after some effort it finally lands on the plant pot outside, near the ground. Quite odd behaviour I thought, but then all of a sudden I hear hundreds of flaps in the bush with many, many birds flying towards me at the house, only one made it in. But believe me there were hundreds, again took effort to catch the bird, let it go and it flew about weirdly, infact I heard a loud thump which i presume was it hitting our neighbours car. This is midnight by the way. So strange behaviour!

The bird sounds like it was sick or hurt.

AC 519, you don´t have to give specifics, but what general locale do you live in?

Very curious.....(unless, of course, you´re just posting a B.S. thread).....

Re: k, WEIRD bird behaviour
as i was driving to mt rainier, i saw hundreds of birds just walking around in the road. i even drove right over one, it never moved!!
st helens starting popping off a week later. then the big one on 1 oct 04.
depending on if you´re in a quake sensitive area, i´d say the birds are trying to tell you something. feel fortunate, you have about a week to prepare. the birds are still flying, a good sign. when they walk around stupid, then be ready.
i´m not trying to be a fear monger, but this is the truth.
birds migration flights are based on a small crystal in the center of their brain. we have one too, but we´ve lost contact with ours. when an earthquake is near, the magnetism of the earth changes in that area. it affects us too, but we see it as irratability, depression. all sides of moods and behaviors. the best and worst will come out in all of us...

Re: k, WEIRD bird behaviour
No offense intended, just wondering what´s up? with that.....

Certainly strange behavior, (just a word of caution here) but I´d watch for other things that don´t seem quite ´right´, and think before you register these things in your psyche´ and try to delineate what you can recall as the "norms" for animal behavior and the bizarre, I´ll be watching as I have other contacts over there I´ll run this past. Thanks!

syzygy and 69, thanks for the warnings. This was the immediate thought that occured in my head, they can sense something´s not right. This did register as particularly weird behaviour hence I posted it, maybe someones had similar experiences recently? I shall definately be on the look out for further signs now.

Re: k, WEIRD bird behaviour
i hae a couple of things to report myself, normally my back yard/garden is full of birds in the hedges and on the grass, but recently i haven´t seen a single one, the bird food sits un touched on the bird table while before this would be gone within the day :|

Another odd occurance is that my mom was on the phone to her sister, and her sister commented on how many birds there were just stood in the road, she claimed the number of birds was well above 100 all just standing still or slowly walking round, if its of any additional value i believe they were pigeons :/

This is all very odd stuff......
