“ABNORMAL” readings on 8 of 18 EPA radiation monitors on US West Coast — Devices now “undergoing quality review” >>> Fukushima
Some Radiation-Tracking Air Monitors May Not Be Working Properly, EPA Says, Bloomberg, March 21, 2011 at 5:11 pm EDT:

Eight of 18 air monitors in California, Oregon and Washington state that track radiation from Japan’s nuclear reactors are “undergoing quality review,” according to the Environmental Protection Agency’s website. …

“What we are seeing is not a problem,” [Ronald Fraass, director of the EPA’s National Air and Radiation Environmental Laboratory in Montgomery, Alabama] said today in a telephone interview. …

Monitors are listed as undergoing review if they report an abnormal reading, Fraass said. Scientists then evaluate the reason, Fraass said.

An abnormality might mean that the monitor isn’t working correctly, or the device measured a spike in radiation levels attributable to an environmental change, Fraass said. For example, higher temperatures can cause higher levels of naturally occurring radon gas, he said. ...

I think it's standard operating procedure (SOP).

maybe..

maybe a higly radioactive dust particle has made its way into the Geiger–Müller tube of the radiation monitor..

this is whats dangerous and cant be measured easely not before an actual dust particle gets stucked in the counter monitor

could this explain this, there was a thread about it here that its very dangerous because of these dust particles

this is only reporting site that I think is credible.

i don't trust the EPA site, and maybe someone told the other sites to keep the numbers down so as not to panic anyone, or those sites don't really do a good job of updating.

at this site, we can see the equipment, and the owner of the stream tries to put out good information in his explanations.

this one I trust. EPA -- not at all. the others? no, not really.

A year and a half later, the facts show Obammys biggest, deadliest lie yet was when he controverted Surgeon general Regina Benjamin, and said there was nothing to worry about here in the USA, don't take precautions, don't take KI tabliets, supplements, etc. Within ten or fifteen years you will know who was right.
