What I don't understand is that the mayor must have had technological resources to test radiation.

I watched Alex Jone's program a few days ago and believe that he may be closer to the truth than the media.

I hate that there is a Media Blackout right now, and i hate that my family thinks im crazy, and that we are going to get some Radation here, espesically if there is a completely Meltdown.

They just plan on wearing us down slowly, that way when they tell us that it's here and that our milk and spinach is polluted with radiation, we'll be too exhausted to freak out!

Good point Jen. Makes me wonder how long the Japanese people can keep their composure under all these lies and deceit.

'Of course I am angry,' he told me through an interpreter yesterday. 'I was ignored and then badly misled, and as a result the people were abandoned here to die.


'But I was the one who told them it was safe to stay, and now I have decided that I must be the last person to leave this city. I have been in my office since last Friday, and I won't go until the last person has left safely.'


For a city mayor to voice such sentiments at a time when his countrymen are being urged to stand together in the face of Armageddon is tantamount to mutiny.

Yesterday, as the mayor finally woke up to the truth of his citizens' predicament and urged them to leave, they began abandoning the city by any available means.

By last night more than half the population had packed as much as they could carry and fled, jostling for places on buses sent not by the shamefaced government, of course, but by nearby local authorities

The mayor speaking out and exposing the liar / murderers is the problem !

No only that but I have an uncle who lives in Sendai, his house survived the quake/tsunami and we got a report (twitter) that there have been no relief efforts sent to Sendai at all. All the survivors and there are alot have no food, etc. since the disaster. They have been left to fend for themselves....

Must be really special... because this was a beautiful planet, and for the most part, people are basically good. Sure had to work damn hard to screw it all up. Hope that is a GREAT SPOT!

So this is the real truth of the situation.??? This article is from today. I'm thinking it's their Monday over there, so this guy just started evacuating the city 3 days ago, and has vowed to stay until everyone is gone.

Can you imagine how difficult it must be to organize the evacuation of your city, without the help of your government?

No they're not. People are basically assholes, and the world reflects that fact. If there were only a handful of evil people in the world, the rest could just ignore them.

Hurricane Katrina coverage was the same.
This time is no different.
When the situation becomes beyond any hope of repair, the damage is bad and getting worse, and a threat to a large portion of the public is imminent, then the information gets scaled back.

Listening to the interviews is almost nauseating. They must truly believe people are idiots.

NO PICTURES of workers working at the plants and doing the things they are saying .. zero.

The ONLY pics being released are from 20 or 30 miles away.

TEPCO reps will barely look the interviewers in the eye.

They're treating this whole thing like it was a simple fire that was extinguished. Everything is ok now, go back to sleep.
