you can also boot from an external usb drive btw, without having it connected directly to the pc..in boot menu options.

Couldn't find my 7 disc. I have every other damn boot disc, but couldn't find my 7. But everything else we tried would not work. No matter what we did, that damn blue screen would pop up with lil boxes telling us we couldn't do that.

Nothing like that, not that kind of blue screen. It created the screen. And all you things on the task bar would keep disappearing and the little white boxes would come up saying you were infected.

Then a scan box would come up and scan in about 10 seconds saying you were infected and give you a list of viruses. Then another box offering virus protection.

And it just kept doing the same thing over and over.

Tried to restore.....wouldn't allow it.
Tried to delete everything on the C drive...wouldn't allow it.

No matter what we did, it wouldn't allow it.

OP,

get install discs

go to BIOS PRESS F8 after you startup computer

select BOOT FROM CD DRIVE

GO FROM THERE...

WINNING!!!!!

If its not a stop error then you CAN reformat.

But since you lost the Windows 7 disk another one will run nearly $200

And you insist the hard drive is "broken" that's another $50

You have no basic computer skills so you need someone from Bestbuys Geek Squad to do it for you, That's another $100 minimum

AND if you don't have your disk use your kids disk from their laptop. All you need is your Windows Product ID number from the side/bottom of your pc. If that still doesn't work, you should be able to buy a copy for $10 bucks at your local pc repair shop.

You have not FRIED your hard drive. If you want to fix it follow the simple instructions we have provided for you.

It's bound to be here somehwere.Just not sure what happened to it. I can find every other disc I've ever had, just not the one I need. Always happens that way doesn't it? lol

I don't, but have other people around that know a good bit about puters. Will get them to help me tomorrow.

You need to go in safe mode

I doubt the virus caused you to lose all your data i imagine its more the fact you lack the knowledge on how to fix the issue.
