Reoccuring dream demands DOOM!
Since I was seven, I have had a reoccurring dream. There is something coming from the shadow of the great vacuum with a terrifying speed, beyond my comprehension. Before it arrives, there are massive earthquakes all over the world just like the ones that have happened in the last year, but there is one final quake with intensity I still have yet to see. I don't know if the object is the direct cause of these quakes, but it most likely is. When it reaches the Earth, I don't see the impact or if it even does, but the End truly begins. I end up on a mountain range and observe a massive wall of fire and smoke, consuming everything in its wake, approaching from the west. Then as it is about to envelope me, My conscious observation is shifted from the mountain top to a platform orbiting the Earth with the shadow of a woman to my left. I know she is also from Earth, but I cant see her clearly. I know she has blond hair and is 65' in height. We observe the wall of flame progress through the rest of the unscathed surface. The pain us almost unbearable but I relieve it a little by trying to comforting her at my side. There are forms of life behind us, I sense it to be my parents, but I do not turn around for I am still witnessing my world be destroyed. It then concludes with me waking up in sweat.
For most of my life I had established this as just a dream, nothing more. Until I was sent on a tour of duty to Iraq in 2003. To this point I had swallowed my education with pleasure always asking for more.
But then some really strange things started to happen to me six-months in country. Strong emotional pulls would tell me to stall or stand still or to just simply break a routine that was demanded by my command. I headed the feelings and every time my life was spared by a fraction of a second or by meters of distance. I was intrigued and terrified. Knowing that I was meant for death in those instances, I was lost on the salvation. This happened more times than I have fingers. Never again have I trusted any "truths" of this world.
This started happening in the time frame as I was conducting vehicular patrols with SF and other units around the Sumerian landmarks. Nippur was the popular one. Not sure if this has any meaning but it seemed extremely out of sync with the standard operations.
When I returned, I started seeing the entire world differently and the reoccurring dream ramped up in frequency and its intensity. I can now taste the sulfur and smell the pine. I even know what peak I am standing on, as I have discovered its location recently by hiking many of them around me.
The quakes are happening, ELEnin is in route (although a comet is not what is in my dream), and I am so convinced this is to be reality my life has stopped. I am terrified.

So what are your thoughts?

Are you at all aware of your age in the dream? If so, how far from now do you think it would occur?

I am not. The dreams always feel like they are the present. As my age increases so does the detail. If I was to guess, 5 years at the most from now.

I had a sex dream about Burgess Meredith once. It still haunts me.

I'm not sure I could go on living with that dream!

It is an interesting dream, and I hope that is all it is. But you never know. You may want to try some lucid dreaming exercises to see if you can glean any specific information from the dream. Having had the dream for so many years it shouldn't be to difficult to trigger it.

I can lucid dream, have since I was about the same age as this dream began. When I questioned my subconscious, it appears as a different body to me. He is always on a white horse and in a stunning military uniform. I ask for meaning and clarity, But the only response I get is "I have not failed your yet" and he rides off.

I wish my dreams had the vivid detail yours do. Maybe I just cannot recall them well.
