My money's on a 9.6 on the Cascadia Subduction zone. its been way to quiet on the USA west coast, considering what else is happening throughout the ring of fire.

Why do you think it would bee a 9.6. Is that fault capable of that much force?

I agree about the ring of fire
whole west side of it has been rocking for a while, then all those in the last 24hrs
Someplace on the east side of the ring of fire will need to move accordingly
i have had 9.6 quake in my head for a few weeks now
somewhere in the US

According to documentation shown on the history channel, it is capable of more, and is the location of the largest quake in the history of the planet, that geologists have found evidence of. Just a little south of this, going from the southern tip of Washington, to Mendocino in California, is the Juan de fuca fault, which if it slips, would react much like the boxer day quake did in Indonesia, except there would only be a 15 minute Tsunami warning, and the waves could be hundreds of feet tall, depending on far it drops..

For every action, there is an opposite and equal reaction. Basic law of nature. Although the IRIS EQ site is very slow in updating, I like it because you can see some definite patterns develop, and what I have seen in the last few years, is a pattern of EQ saturation the eastern edge of the ring of fire, creeping north to Japan and Alaska, south to Chile and up through South America to Mexico and Baja. I think these energies are going to meet in Washington eventually.
