My money's on a 9.6 on the Cascadia Subduction zone. its been way to quiet on the USA west coast, considering what else is happening throughout the ring of fire.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1292507Why do you think it would bee a 9.6. Is that fault capable of that much force? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1289561According to documentation shown on the history channel, it is capable of more, and is the location of the largest quake in the history of the planet, that geologists have found evidence of. Just a little south of this, going from the southern tip of Washington, to Mendocino in California, is the Juan de fuca fault, which if it slips, would react much like the boxer day quake did in Indonesia, except there would only be a 15 minute Tsunami warning, and the waves could be hundreds of feet tall, depending on far it drops..
