The thermite wouldn't have only needed to make a clean cut, it would have also needed to cut sideways. Not an easy feat for thermite. You see, it's a powder which burns chaotically.
It does not cut steel support collums like scissors cutting paper.
Maybe with some device, but no working device has been proven to me to work to cut a vertical column. You can direct it with a canister but that method wouldn't work to cut a column. The canister only makes a small hole.

Nano-thermite has been talked about but its uses fall far short of cutting these massive columns. It's in its research stage. They include possible uses for welding molecular devices and possible use as a heat signature flare decoy. Then there is a patent of a device which has been brought up but as of yet, there is no evidence the idea went any further. Does it even work? Even if it did, they are "Ganged" together to make the cut. You would still need these boxes all over the columns.

Once again the answer to this from the "scholars" is "rationalized technology". They need this technology to exist so it exists. There is some secret super thermite which can be placed in a canister which can survive 1,100 degree C so the primary charge doesn't go off.

If you look at his experiments, every one of them has the thermite burning down, which is how the stuff works. Gravity takes a hold of it, and DOWN it goes.

But for the twin tower columns, for the steel to be cut, the thermite would have to burn sideways, and there would have to be literally thousands of tons of thermite to bring about a collapse. (if you could get it to burn sideways.)

I'm not buying that bullshit story that the buildings were built with the columns full of thermite, because there is not a shred of evidence for it.

We have specific proof of extreme temperatures

We have pools of molten steel and a meteorite that is 4 floors of steel and concrete melted into a small ball

We have a horseshoe shaped beam that the ironworker said would have taken 1000s of degrees to bend it like that with no cracks

We have Giuliani claiming there were fires 2000 degrees(200 more than they should be) 6-12 weeks after the collapse, 4 stories underground, when the fires were 60-80 floors...Somehow, they magically go through the 60 floors of debris and ignite under the WTC rubble with no source of oxygen

Explosive Residues

Independent researchers have discovered a highly engineered explosive-incendiary material in several dust samples collected near the WTC site. In their paper, entitled Active Thermitic Material Discovered in Dust from the 9/11 World Trade Center Catastrophe, nine researchers, led by chemist Niels Harrit of the University of Copenhagen, conclude:

“[T]he red layer of the red/gray chips we have discovered in the WTC dust is active, unreacted thermitic material, incorporating nanotechnology, and is a highly energetic pyrotechnic or explosive material.”

Sulfidated Steel

Ignoring the Guide for Fire and Explosion Investigations put out by the National Fire Protection Association, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) did not test for evidence of explosives, because, according to NIST spokesperson Michael Newman,

“If you’re looking for something that isn’t there, you’re wasting your time… and the tax payers’ money.”

NIST also claimed that no steel was recovered from Building 7. While it is true that virtually all of the steel from Building 7 was destroyed illegally, this claim is blatantly contradicted by Appendix C of the FEMA Building Performance Study, which called for further study of a piece of steel recovered from Building 7 that had experienced a “severe high temperature corrosion attack.”[ii] The Worcester Polytechnic Institute Journal, Transformations, described this piece of steel, saying:[iii]

“A one-inch column has been reduced to half-inch thickness. Its edges–which are curled like a paper scroll–have been thinned to almost razor sharpness. Gaping holes–some larger than a silver dollar–let light shine through a formerly solid steel flange. This Swiss cheese appearance shocked all of the fire-wise professors, who expected to see distortion and bending–but not holes.”

The authors of Appendix C explained that, “the severe erosion found in several beams [in the debris field of Building 7] warranted further consideration.”[iv] [Underline added for emphasis] They hypothesized that a eutectic formed in the steel at approximately 1000° C due to a slow sulfidation process in the debris pile, however, independent researchers challenged this hypothesis, arguing that: [v]

“[T]o form a molten iron-oxygen-sulfur eutectic at about 1000° C would require a very high concentration of sulfur… The fact that sulfur evaporates at a low temperature, 445° C, along with the very low levels of elemental sulfur in office buildings appears to preclude the possibility that the eutectic could have formed as a result of a slow sulfidation process in the debris pile.”

The authors of Appendix C concluded by saying, “No clear explanation for the source of sulfur has been identified…A detailed study into the mechanisms of the phenomenon is needed to determine what risk, if any, is presented to existing steel structures exposed to severe and long-burning fires.”
