Call up DTV and tell them you're switching to another provider if they continue to allow the sale of porn to go through.

I'm not sure how the kid can watch the porn if the channels are password protected anyhow...

I was letting people know that their kids or other people's kids can order adult programs through the satellite provider just by dialing in.

I seem to be the only person on GLP that has a problem with this.

I did call DTV, there is NO way, other than cutting off buying through the phone, that they can solve this problem.

So we DID cut off buying PPV through the phone.

Nothing else worked. Though they had ASSURED me that he could NOT order PPV unless he knew the account number.

You've got your phone through Verizon, so it's a cell? When and how is he using it to call DTV and go through this entire process WITHOUT you knowing he has your phone?

Don't allow the child to use it. Keep it with you. Also, how are you doing the PPV service without a landline anyway? I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that was a necessity, and I am sure you're charged extra for any boxes NOT hooked to a landline.

And on the subject of PPV channels, here's another option, DON'T subscribe to them then. You have to subscribe to and download the PPV service for it to even show up. Reset the box and DON'T download the PPV option. Again, this is something IN YOUR CONTROL.

The satellite box WILL ALLOW you to enter a password to block access to channels and it WILL ALLOW you to block those channels from appearing at all. DO IT. Something else YOU COULD BE DOING.

You harp about not being able to afford things, yet your main phones apparently a cell and you've got extended services on your satellite television? Even discounting those things, there are options you could take which would cost you NOTHING but the time and effort. Both of which would probably be less than what you've expended on here bitching and blaming everything EXCEPT your own inaction and your child's actions.

Cowboy up, do your parental duties, use some damn common sense and take some responsibiltiy or just shut the bitching and griping up.

At this point, you just look like you're whining for whining's sake to be "entertaining" or you're just a clueless professional "victim" who see's everything as being someone else's fault.

10 year old kid should not be left alone for hours to order porn... there should be supervision from someone in the house
