TEOTWAWKI may be regional. Stuff like the final collapse of the Mexican Government causing 10 million people to come right up Interstate 35 in one week, most of them good people, but no way to support it. Not enough food, shelter or anything else. Chaos would ensue. That may not be the end of the world, but it would be the end of the world as we knew it. Same with a nuke in a US, or Western European city. Our lifestyle would be gone.
