Yes the FNORD runs deep, it has been deliberately and intricately woven into the fabric of society. The subtlety with which the early FNORDhood were able to insinuate their FNORD is actually quite remarkable.

Science is the one that locks monkeys up in cages. Science was the one that developed the nuclear bomb, chemical weapons, finest ways of torture. science decided to sterilize all unwanted and unfit.
Science claimed blacks weren't human. Science has no morals. Science is evil when left alone.

Science has ruined other peoples lives simply because they didn't believe in the THEORY of evolution, and the THEORY of the big bang. Science was built around the philosophy of questioning, it has now been perverted into the idea of denying anything different then itself.

you are confusing evolutionary lessons with science.

These existed as humans learned to evolve past previous mistakes.

Religion is just another one that should be in your list that soon pass as well. Of course, after you list the lessons that will be learned in its failed application as well.

As an ex-born again christian, I could no longer buy into the fairy tale. Even as a kid I felt in my gut something was not right with religions. The whole fear-based, victim/savior relationship is too small of a view than any real loving God would need to resort to..AKA...total bullshit that was made up to control the sheep.

And what lessons have we learned? Not kill one another? Fail. Not to harm each other? Fail. Not to destroy earth? Fail.

I escaped that nonsense the day I began living on my own.
A great majority of what I see in organized religion is the damning of others while they put themselves on pedestals.

And they call it love. I call it evil.

well in part, people do not understand the truth and that is mostly religions fault.

I dont think people would destroy one another if they realized their personal spiritual evolution depended on it.

and that you cannot be forgiven by any action ever committed. Cause and effect, based in science proves that the past unchangeable.

or destroy the earth if they realized they would be right back here many lifetimes over.

But, when i was about 20, i decided that i just could not get down with the requirement to believe in an infallible pope. That was almost 25 years ago, and i have not looked back...

Of course, i told my little Irish Catholic grandmother that i was going to a Baptist church so they wouldn't talk badly about the Catholics from the pulpit. Hahaha!

HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA wow, yea science is so peaceful. LOL I can't even begin to describe how silly that sentence is.

Took me till the age of 29. I am 30 now. I still believe in a creator God but religion has been tossed.

I have a hard time now believing much of anything along the lines of religion. Most believe that a higher being created everything but their particular "God" is the correct and only god. If most believe in a higher being how is it that being is not the same being across the board??? and who is anyone to say their higher being is different then the next persons higher being. It makes no since to me.

oh come now, why would anyone turn their backs on such great and wonderful tales like these:

or how about the most classic tale of all. imagine it: take your only child, your son, and send him away to be tortured and killed. Now THAT will be an effective and wonderful way to bring peace and goodwill to the mortal humans of the world, no? With all your limitless power and intelligence, surely that is the best possible solution. oh, and if those silly humans use their free will that you designed for them to not appreciate this "sacrifice"?? well golly, just torture them in hell, forever!

Nobody said the bible wasn't violent. The idea that science is peaceful is what I laugh at.

Give it up guys, you dont want to believe in God or any god because you dont want to have to be held accountable for your actions. Its as simple as that, your not fooling anyone. You choose to ignore the obvious that you were created, so you wont feel inferior or that you have a "master". When the truth is he doesnt want to be your master, you got it all wrong and your coming at it the wrong way....

well why doesnt God just show himself and give us proof? To know God is to know madness. If god came down right now in front of you, you would lose your mind. Your reality would cease to exist. You would walk around afraid to do anything, because you would know 100 percent that he was watching. We would lose free will and almost have a slave-master relationship. His creation would be destroyed, and would no longer function.

not saying that we don't believe in higher intelligence and creation, "god". Just saying that christianity is a hilarious joke same as all world religions.

Boy, that sure wasn't what I witnessed in the Church. I saw unaccountable people who candy-coated their issues with that blood they were always talking about.
Also, for me... I saw the scapegoat mentality facilitating that behavior.

aw, it's not very nice to call it programing, my parents would be very sad if they herd you. I'm not riligious but I don't dought the existence of god. but hell is a nono.

I've never gone to church once in my life so I have little outside influence on my views, I think.
