Don't know much about UNLV, but check out their course catalog and match your interests to what they offer. Duh, I know. Careful about living in Vegas. From what I understand, the job market is pretty bad and there are lots of people out of work and home.

Friend of mine worked at a bar and was talking to the guy fixing their a/c - his hourly rates matched those of a lawyers but he could set his own hours.

He owned seven Ferraris - paid for with cash.

I would have said accounting, but that now requires a master's degree. Chances of getting hired are good.

But then again, the IRS could be declared illegal and all would be lost.

The problem is, entry level accounting jobs pay shit. Dunno about the US but in Canada you only really advance if you take all these post-college designations - CGA, CMA, etc. and it's a lot of money and work.

Skilled trades are better - most are filled with old guys on the verge of retiring and many of the jobs can't be outsourced.
