Quoting: SubarcticBeefHow about another crusade. Worked well last time. You'll be one of the first to go. Expect no sympathy. They are not a violent people, they have just stopped being sheeple like Americans and are taking a stand to try and have a trus democracy. After failing to find "weapons of mass destruction" in Iraq the US tried to sell the world on how its aim was to bring democracy to Iraq. How the hell does that square with giving 1.5 billion of US tax dollars to a dictatorship that favours Israel. Yes, I think Trinity is scared and I'm willing to bet that their are quite a few uneasy Israelis as well. They may well be about to reap what they have sown. So, you damn right I support people anywhere fighting for human rights. I get so pissed off when I see Americans posting about Muslims coming to your country and trying to force their culture, religion and laws on them. What the hell do they think their government is doing to Muslim countries? And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music. |

Iran has already come out in support of this. We lose Egypt, we also lose stability and the Suez Canal. Think about that for a moment... Quoting: Doc HollidayMan, you let me down... You need to become aware that the plight of these people is so severe that they will actually die for their cause. I wish my country, with a rotten leader who has turned this country into a cesspool of poverty, mass unemployment, and total despair, would get together and have mass rallies to tell Cameron and all that they are useless and we don't want them anymore. Quoting: *Jentle*Jentle, you do understand what HAMAS will do once they take over don't you? These people think they have a bad leader now? And to the OP you are 100% right. Watch Iran! So have I now become your enemy for telling you the TRUTH? Galatians 4:16 *********************************** You call me paranoid. I call you uninformed. :tgdmwt: |

But you have to understand that the people in the streets right now will not be in charge once Mubarak is overthrown. They will be run by some hardline Muslim clerics. They will become much like Iran is today. They will be trading one form of dictatorship for another. Mubarak is certainly a dictator, but they aren't going to gain their freedom from the next one because they are being manipulated. I got two guns, one for each of ya. |

Anwar Sadat of Egypt made peace with Israel before he was murdered. This was probably the only positive thing Carter did. Egypt not being insane with blood lust toward Israel for the last 30 years was probably one of the few things that kept the middle east from spiraling out of control. Now, that stabilization will be gone. I got two guns, one for each of ya. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1209397The Muslim Brotherhood is a UK-USA asset. Always was, still is. UK-USA is upset at Egypt's new friendship with China behind the scenes. So was the Egyptian gov. We have nearly destroyed the whole damn world trying to stay alive. Does that make it wrong? Not necessarily. And we all do it. But can we do better? I think so. I think it requires each individual to confront his own mortality. At some point, you have to live and die for your ideals. Destruction of the self is inevitable. The question is: Do we destroy the world in a futile effort to preserve the self? Or do we try something new? Just maybe it is time to take a very significant risk. Just maybe we should try to set aside our instincts and see what happens. It requires courage. I don't know if I can do it, to be honest. But the alternative is repugnant and unacceptable to me. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1238394 Syria 01/29/2011 10:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | After World War II, most of Europe and Japan lay economically prostrate, their industries in shambles and production, in general, at a minimum level. The U.S. was the only major power to escape the destruction of war, its industries thriving with a high level of productivity. In addition, prior to and during WWII, due to extreme political and economic upheaval, a considerable amount of gold from European countries was transferred to the U.S. Thus, after WWII the U.S. had accumulated 80 percent of the world's gold and 40 percent of the world's production. At the founding of the World Bank (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in 1944-45, U.S. predominance was absolute. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1248662AND THAT'S WHY USA CAME TO SAVE US FROM THE GERMANS. END OF STORY. Now they came again to finish whatever was left with their IMF. Thank you America.
