I've thought about this myself, I think it has something to do with guilt. If a woman cheats with a bad boy they are less likely to feel guilty about it. whether they do or not isn't the point, the point is they like to keep their options open and not feel guilty about it.

Not sure this is related but last week a chick sucker punched me in the gut to say hi. I asked her "Whats on your mind?" she then proceded to use my stomach as a punching bag. Then she told me I was boney!?

after awhile the nice guy gets sick with being nice, so he becomes the asshole....

eventually, everyone avoids the asshole, and sometimes they even attack the asshole, so the guy calms down, and regrets becoming the asshole......so he tries to find a balance....which takes a whole hell of a lot of work ... becoming that balance....asnd even then, after you find your own balance, its really hard to find a girl who has also acheived balance....and now, we have million different sub cultures, so its even extra hard to find it.

no wonder the online dating industry is a gazillion dollar industry.....

maybe , the people who stayed with their high school sweethearts , got married, had kids, are the smart ones....you know, becuase we all know that 16-20 year olds really know themselves, and life, and how they want to spend the rest of their lifes.....or maybe IGNORANCE is bliss....

Well im kind of the bad guy type, but now im older im over that and trying to just be a good person.
And being a good person ive found doesn't get you any farther either just the same as being a drunk asshole.
So I think people try to stereotype things to much, it is what it is, and how it is, and thats just how it is.
