YouTube is being blasted now with videos about this....

 Quoting: Babsi

Personally, I think it is a big deal. If not, we would see this type of activity all the time...and we don't.

A previous poster asked me about a weird basketball incident but never replied with a link. I am doing some searches on similar incidents...check this one out..totally different, but also cool! From December 23, 2010, so recent.

I wish she rolled it at that general area.. would of been neat if it stopped dead in its tracks at the same spot. uhoh
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1127672

Yeah, if she threw the ball down, picked it up and then tried to roll it across...and it stopped like that...wow.

It is impossible, what these things are showing...

BTW, did you notice, especially on the slow down, that the opposing team (guy closest) waved his arm and it matched perfect with ball 'restarting' movement...

Yes, actually you are correct. I was watching it 3 times and the third time I wanted to see what made the ball fall eventually. The guy waved his arm and it fell...this was odd.

So what's your explanation? Somebody tampering with ballsport by planting velcro over the courts? I doubt that...

It doesn't all have to be about doom and gloom, does it? Reality changing...it can be something so simple and mysterious that makes being a human alive at this place in the universe...magical.

I know what you mean and I agree. Scientists as well as regular people think they have it all figured out, and in the end, we still have so much to learn and definitely things are changing. And I don't really want to think of it as doom...I'd rather like to believe the change will be for the good.

The "heat bubble" theory would have been detectable by putting one's foot on it, or at most poking the area in question with a finger.

If it's massive enough to prevent a ball designed to bounce from bouncing, it's huge enough to have been detectable visually, and certainly manually

Anyone recall the ball at the basketball game a few weeks ago that just hung on the rim without moving for seconds?

Little glitches in the matrix, presaging broader/wilder ones.

Good find, OP!

In the movie, "The day the Earth Stood Still", the visitor was asked to do something harmless that would get everyone's attention.

He stopped all electricity in the world, except airplanes, hospital equipment, etc--for an hour...it worked!

Re: Weird gravity change on Australian Open Ballcourt!!!! Sharapova finds dead spot - check out the video!!!
What happened is that the stifling temperatures in Melbourne caused a heat bubble filled with air to form under the surface of the court. It's the same concept that causes crust bubbles to develop on edges of pizza slices. As the Mirror reported, workers came out and drilled two small holes in the court, which let out the air. Order, and gravity, was restored.

OP at what part did you think to not put the explanation ...doh

I find this very odd though I admit I'm not well-versed in the subtleties of Physics to make any definitive statements.

It did seem to completely cancel out any inertial force the ball had... If it was a pocket of air underneath I would have expected to have seen something but it just stops absolutely dead!

That Idaho basketball one is also pretty fucking crazy.

I don't want to jump straight to the conclusion that the laws of physics are changing but I can't shake the feeling that something crazy is happening in the world.

Good way to put it..I love pizza crust with bubbles.

I wonder if somebody could make an experiment and try this on a tennis court. Then make the whole tennis court like this, would be an interesting match chuckle

I don't think there is a good explanation, as these are violating physical laws.

I have been 'told' that we, as a human species, will begin witnessing stuff that will make it undeniable to the human race, that our reality is changing.

It is fascinating for me to see these things, because it seems to resonate with so much that I have visions about, or are told by 'higher-ups'.
 Quoting: SickScent

Sorry but the tennis ball thing is not uncommon on those courts. The court is made of thick rubber with a gritty surface so it is made to absorb more energy- when the small air bubble forms underneath it acts like a rubber shock absorber- the tennis ball because of design also adsorbs the energy. If the air bubble under the court was bigger and the rubber was taunt, the tennis ball would bounce off- it was just loose enough to make a dead spot.

Thanks for your input and explanation...and that is what the MSM was saying, that somehow this bubble formed due to rains etc. However, watching the video...it looks extremely strange. I could understand if the ball doesn't bounce off and just rolls (which I have seen before), but it just stops completely and just sticks to the floor as if stuck to super glue or velcro...aside from he fact that it made me laugh, it also just looks unreal!!

Absolutely no way a tennis ball shouldn't bounce up from a hard surface like that!!

Especially the way she threw it down, she didn't just drop it, she threw it with force.

I did some research and stumbled across this...I'm sure this was posted before too...but I'd like to add to this thread. First time I hear of this. Any of you ever been to these places?

[link to www.bukisa.com]

When we tour these mystery sites throughout the U.S., this is what we hear as advertisement:

The Mystery Spot in St. Ignance, Michigan is like the Santa Cruz Mystery Spot, however the Michigan shack is placed on a sharply sloped hill. Balls and water move uphill and visitors appear to stand at impossible angles within the walls of this old shack.

Moving on to Mystery Hill in Marblehead, Ohio, we find the claim that the hillside area of Mystery Hill defies the laws of nature and of gravity by watching water flow uphill, the ability of people to change height before your eyes and viewing of a pendulum, as it swings only toward the south side, without returning north. Visitors swear to feeling normal in one area, stepping a few inches away and feeling completely strange.

In the Pacific Northwest, we find The Oregon Vortex in Gold Hill, Oregon. Here, you will hear talk of a spherical area of force which is located half above the ground and half below is to blame for the mysterious occurrences in their particular site. It is claimed that you can’t stand erect within the vortex, but you are always pulled toward the magnetic north side. Further claims state that in some spots a person can approach you but as he or she does so, they become shorter in height.

On Gravity Hill in Bedford County, Pensylvania it is said gravity goes haywire. While driving, you reach a spot on the road where “GH” is painted, letting you know you’ve reached the area. You can stop your car, shift it into neutral, then sit as you watch your car begin to roll uphill. It is said if you pour water on the street in this same space, the water takes a twist of events, flowing uphill instead of the usual downhill movement.

In Santa Cruz California, we find a mystery spot that was discovered in the 1940s, on Branciforte Drive which is the location of not only the mystery spot, but of the mystery shack as well. Visitors have stood by as they viewed brooms standing on end at odd angles, balls roll uphill and people tend to change height too, among a few of the strange happenings at this site.

We get more into the paranormal side of these mystery places, as we visit the Gravity Hill in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. It is said the reason cars appear to roll uphill, defying all laws of gravity is that the ghost of a little girl pushes them. As the tale goes, the little girl was killed by a car as she went into the road to gather her ball. Rolling a ball in the street causes it to roll up the hill instead of the normal downhill roll one would expect to see.

Blowing Rock, North Carolina is home to a Mysery House that has a strong gravitational pull ot the north. People can stand at a 45 degree angle and balls roll uphill. Standing on the wall is even possible here!

The force of a ghost is the reason things get strange in Salt Lake City Utah, or so the claims tell us. On a road that leads into a canyon, gravity works in bizarre ways. If you pull your car to a halt at the bottom of the hill, put it into neutral, the car will actually back up the hill and out of the canyon. The people around here claim the reason why is because of a ghostly appearance of a man named Elmo who is buried in the area, which is the force behind the strange movement of things. His gravesite apparently glows a ghostly blue to prove it.

Re: Weird gravity change on Australian Open Ballcourt!!!! Sharapova finds dead spot - check out the video!!!
Its all to do with radiating head. The color of the court was part of the contributing factor, as was the heat. In that darker colors absorb heat more than lighter ones do.

Sit in a Black Car compared to a White or Silver and you'll see a noticeable difference, or wear a white shirt compared to Black.

The Darker colored court (Blue) absorbed the Suns heat radiantly long enough for expansion to occur underneath it, when it expands air fills the void. And like a shock absorber, when they tried to bounce the ball over the patch of the court, they found they couldn't.
