(OP) User ID: 953574 United States 01/22/2011 10:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I just talked with his daughter, Kathy. She said he still had a breathing tube down his throat which the docs were hoping to remove 6 hours after surgery. He was awake briefly, but was getting agitated because he was trying to tell them something, but couldn't be understood. They put him back under. Something about his lungs not exchanging oxygen properly. I'm not a doctor, can anyone help me out, here? Large and Powerful [link to i154.photobucket.com] |

Yet, 95% clogging of arteries does not necessarily mean 95% less blood flow. The body does amazing things, it forms small blood vessels that go around the obstructions in the main arteries. All will be well. Greetings to RT, too. Take care, big guy. |

The breathing tube should come out tomorrow and they expect to have him sitting up and fully awake. They put him under so he doesn't do any damage to himself over night. His vitals are looking good at this time. Large and Powerful [link to i154.photobucket.com] |

I'm sorry you're all going through this. On a postive note, a family friend had the same surgery many years ago, and afterwards he did exactly what the doctors told him to do and he continued living a very active life for almost 20 years I think it was.
