NASA sends people to live for months on the ISS

NASA can launch satellites around the Galaxy

NASA landed on the Moon, and Mars

NASA this, NASA that, NASA there, NASA everywhere but here on TERRA FERMA.

Hey NASA, confirm your accomplishments by delivering mankind from this energy crisis that's also polluting our planet with your "science will save the day" attitude and produce an electric car.

I'm sure this little minuscule task could be done in what, a few months?

Lets see if you really have all the right stuff.

I was trying to title it:

NASA does lots of stuff "out of this world", I'd like them to loose the "out" and do stuff "of this world" -- like an Electric Car.

But didn't catch.

Yes, wouldn't it be nice if NASA did something like work on civil aeronautics safety, studying wingtip vortices, airfoil icing, and all the other horrible things that can cause airliners to crash?

Wouldn't it be nice if they studied weather patterns and geography, looked for mineral deposits, plotted the movement of river silts, pollution, and oil slicks, and watched hurricanes?

Wouldn't it be nice if they worked to enhance the communications infrastructure down here on planet Earth. Why, imagine if it was possible to have voice communication, send computer data, or even send television signals anywhere in the world! Imagine this fantastic scenario; some time in the distant future, a single speech might be viewed simultaneously (or as near as the speed of light permits) by people around the world!

Or, if you want the simple and practical, perhaps NASA could share some of their discoveries and ideas with industry. They might even, I don't know, start a regular publication of new discoveries and inventions. Call it something like "NASA Tech Briefs."

Oh, just think of the possibilities!

Why was Gordon Cooper so much chattier than the others? And he got away with it, apparently.

NASA doesn't accomplish nearly as much as people think. Specifically when it comes to manned space flight
