Wouldn't it be nice if they worked to enhance the communications infrastructure down here on planet Earth. Why, imagine if it was possible to have voice communication, send computer data, or even send television signals anywhere in the world! Imagine this fantastic scenario; some time in the distant future, a single speech might be viewed simultaneously (or as near as the speed of light permits) by people around the world! Or, if you want the simple and practical, perhaps NASA could share some of their discoveries and ideas with industry. They might even, I don't know, start a regular publication of new discoveries and inventions. Call it something like "NASA Tech Briefs." Oh, just think of the possibilities! |
