There were a lot of questions I was unsure of and my instincts were right. I got #27 wrong. I'm sure it is right, but the answer would have to be explained to me for me to understand how that works exactly. (Don't worry, you don't have to. I may not be back to read this thread) |

It is supposed to be a nation of laws. Who sits behind the big desk is irrelevant. Unless you are a socialist usurper. Men,make the laws, and many of the laws men make are stupid ! Since laws can not judge their own usefullness,or stupidity, having a nation of men who can judge laws based upon the merits of those laws,is preferable to a nation ruled by law. If a law is unjust,or stupid, then all men should be above that law. |

(I don't remember ever learning about this) #7 - What was the source of the following phrase: “Government of the people, by the people, for the people”? Serenity Now User ID: 1112441 United States 01/16/2011 05:47 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I object to the following questions and answers: #27 is questionable - What do they mean by "means and ends?" If they mean using slave labor in China to bring down prices, then that does not secure more economic prosperity in our nation. Property rights and the rule of law have done more to secure economic prosperity in this nation than anything else IN THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF THE WORLD! #29 is wrong - Citizens pay for EVERYTHING; the government doesn't have any money! #32 is wrong - The Federal Reserve does not have the authority to buy or sell government securities. #33 is flat-out wrong - If the government taxes Person A for $100 and spends $100 on Person B, then the net result is zero. But that most certainly does NOT mean that the tax per person = spending per person! Beware quizzes with manipulative questions and FALSE answers! |
