Advice needed - Anybody running Opensim regions?

I have a small non-profit and I want to setup a 4 region standalone hypergrid. Have you done this and who would you recommend for hosting?

I could go either way - setup/manage myself or let somebody else do it.

In-house self-hosting is not an option because our isp is slow and too protective of ports - and "get another isp" is also not an option.
