Our military will be marooned over there so they cannot come back to defend their families when unrest starts. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1211745What a model parent! Again, well done. I did not encourage him to join the military but I do respect and support his decisions and choices in life. He feels that this is his path in life - something he is suppose to do. Please send your prayers. May both of you survive and may love transcend all distance no matter how it is measured. Amen. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1223558He doesn't want out - he's career military - planning on college after this tour, then officer training and aiming for General someday. He joined to make a difference - not because of finances or because he supports the war or because he wants to shoot people and blow things up. Whether he supports the war or doesn't, whether he wants to stay in or get out...doesn't matter. From one mom to another I pray your son comes home safe and you are able to hug him again. That is all that matters. |

He was able to call home 2 or 3 times a month. I guess your son will find that out when he gets there. |

Hopefully he can make a difference and understands what and who he is up against. Typically though, the good people have to leave because they realize how perverted it all is. I mean technically, there should not even be a professional army. |
