why do you visit this site? are you a doom junky or a skeptic, or something else?

i started visiting this site back in the old days when it was under other management, trinity has brought a lot of changes to the board most for the better,

but the reason i started coming here was that i was a member of another website and it seemed that even though they would ridicule godlike and be haters, it seemed that all the breaking news and the interesting threads came from here, in the end i left that website and joined this one, i often post but don't often log in,

however i have to say this, maybe it is just because of doom burnout,
and i have seen a lot of it going all the way back before 911 and y2k so i am a past decade veteran of this stuff,

and as they say the more things change the more they stay the same,
this week its the bird dieoffs last week it was north korea before that it was the gulf oil spill, and so on and so forth all the way back to and including 911.
mix in earthquake swarms and sars and any number of things that were going to kill us all,
yet were all still here,most of us anyway
i hope that you can separate this in your mind and not get too wrapped up in the END, whatever that is, if there really ever is an end, the earth will survive it and go on,

but you need to remember that all this negativity can be unhealthy so in most threads i try to be a voice of reason these days,
and that isn't a popular position to take sometimes,
but it provides a good balance so i can appreciate the doom whores and the light bearers and those in between,
except new jerusalem russ, (that guys just crazy)

seriously though i am sure this will get two or three replies and a couple or few dozen views before it drops off the first page for many reasons, the first being that the title isn't screaming BREAKING WERE ALL GONNA DIE AND I HAVE PROOF!!!!! and the second being that its not a concise three sentence cyber sound bite, but if you read this far then tell me about you?why you visit here
and how you got to this point in your life,and what this sort of constant state of fear does for you i seriously want to know,
because even though i think i have evolved to a point where i can take most of whats going on here with a grain of salt,

i still find myself logging on and looking at the breaking headlines to see if maybe....just maybe we finally screwed the pooch while i was sleeping and i missed it,

would hate for that to happen well
