Is Arkansas a reawkaening caldera?!
with all of the wildlife dying unexpectedly in arkansas, and clusters of quake swarms... is this in fact, a reawakening of a long dormant caldera?

arkansas being a part of the new madrid zone, infamous for a significant quake in 1810-1811...is only one area that may be effected. that same quake, reversed the flow of the mississippi river.

will we see more activity in other areas?

on the north american continent, there are ancient fault lines reaching from northeast canada to mexico, that have long been quiet. are the smaller cluster quakes, sink holes and wildlife deaths along side these faults attributed to them?

help put the pieces together in this on going concern, with your ideas, theories, and experiences!

this map shows a possible zone of damage..it could be even further.

Is The New Madrid Fault Earthquake Zone Coming To Life?

January 4, 2011

What in the world is happening in the middle of the United States right now? Thousands of birds are falling dead from the skies, tens of thousands of fish are washing up on shore dead, earthquakes are popping up in weird and unexpected places and people are starting to get really freaked out about all of this. Well, one theory is that the New Madrid fault zone is coming to life. The New Madrid fault zone is six times bigger than the San Andreas fault zone in California and it covers portions of Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee and Mississippi. The biggest earthquakes in the history of the United States were caused by the New Madrid fault. Now there are fears that the New Madrid fault zone could be coming to life again, and if a "killer earthquake" does strike it could change all of our lives forever.

Re: Is Arkansas a reawkaening caldera?!
it's looking more like that to me with the recent bird thing. it seemed to be predominately redwing blackbirds and they nest on the ground.
so it seems something from the ground either threw them from their nests, killing them with some kind of impact or they bolted and were killed quickly after that.
it was all in a 1 mile radius.
from wikipedia..

The Red-winged Blackbird nests in loose colonies. The nest is built in cattails, rushes, grasses, sedge, or in alder or willow bushes. The nest is constructed entirely by the female over the course of three to six days. It is a basket of grasses, sedge, and mosses, lined with mud, and bound to surrounding grasses, or branches.[9] It is located 7.6 cm (3 in) to 4.3 m (14 ft) above water.[16]

Not weird if you account for the fact lava floes can create an increase in gravity, and thus pressure.

And multiple earthquake swarms typically precede a volcano eruption.

But, yeah, I'm gunna get ignored.

I wish I could stay up for this tonight--will have to catch it tomorrow...I've long thought that the area around Hot Springs is a volcano caldera that hasn't been discovered yet....I just don't buy the whole "no volcano but plenty of springs around there" concept....there was a time not too long ago where Yellowstone wasn't believed to be a volcano either...they need to revisit the Hot Springs area...

LABARRE — Hundreds of dead and dying birds littered a quarter-mile stretch of highway in Pointe Coupee Parish on Monday as motorists drove over and around them.

State biologists are trying to determine what led to the deaths of the estimated 500 red-winged blackbirds and starlings on La. 1 just down the road from Pointe Coupee Central High School.

The discovery of the dead birds — some of which were lying face down, clumped in groups, while others were face up with their wings outstretched and rigid legs pointing upward — comes just three days after more than 3,000 blackbirds rained down from the sky in Beebe, Ark.

great vc topic here.

why are these red winged blackbirds dropping from arkansas to louisiana?

is this an awakening fault?

i think it might be. i keep posting about how the redwings are ground roosters but no seems to tumble to the connection yet.
looks to me like they were violently flung out of their nests, that were on the ground.

Not gonna be there, But let me put up stuff for topic of discussion:

Fish and Birds Dying.

The Magnetic North Pole has started moving at a greatly accellerated pace.

Clusters of quakes in North America.

Now then...

How does a Magnetic Pole Move? It moves if the material generating the magnetic field moves. So that means that Deep Down, Something is shifting. ALOT.

That MUST create pressure in some places and relieve pressure in others.

The last time the Madrid Fault Line gave, does ANYONE know what the magnetic North Pole was doing at that time? Was it moving just as much? Do we have any way of figuring that out?

I make no claim that the Madrid Fault is gonna go. I don't think these events are unrelated, however.

And remember, lately in every disaster movie a black man was president. hiding

No, this has to be a global event because birds and fish are dying globaly. In my oppinion is tha magnetic field crash/ fast change in atmosferic pressure or temperature.

Could it be from 'Fracking' ?
 Quoting: anonimalle 1216769

no fracking way dude!

Hydraulic fracturing or fracking is a means of natural gas extraction employed in deep natural gas well drilling. Once a well is drilled, millions of gallons of water, sand and proprietary chemicals are injected, under high pressure, into a well. The pressure fractures the shale and props open fissures that enable natural gas to flow more freely out of the well.

that said;

Geologists of the Arkansas Geological Survey assured people who were in attendance at a townhall-style meeting at Guy-Perkins College that the rise in seismic activity is not due to the recent fracking done within the area.

AGS Geohazards Supervisor Scott Ausbrooks said that they don’t see any connection between hydraulic fracking and the recent earthquakes. However, the agency does not deny the possibility that the drilling of deep, saltwater wells may contribute something that they have not yet uncovered to the current seismicity in the area.

Fracking (which is also known as hydraulic fracturing) refers to the injection of chemical and sand into production wells so that natural gas could be produced. It also refers to the creation of fractures inside rocks to stimulate wells. Currently, it has been linked to (not only) earthquake issues, but other environmental and health concerns as well.
