for those who want to see the facts. The Florida Loop current is in fact an integral part of the Gulf Stream (that's where the warm warm comes from). Together, they form a large part of the Thermohaline circulation.

This refers to the ocean currents that convey heat around the world. Warm, fresher water is less dense than cold, salty water. This happens all around the planet and is one of the main factors that affects our weather. In fact, it's why some our major deserts exist today.

It's been shown via satellite that the loop current was interfered with last summer because of the oil and the methods used to clean it up

i learned this all this week and i feel everyone should have long storage food and a fireplace! the earth's orbit is getting more illiptical and farther from the sun (but i also heard that planet x is pulling us closer to the sun!!!) also GOD turned up the thermostat this year...ie more sunspots/solar activity and there is a cyclic event that we are going into another mini ice age within 25 years and the gulf stream problems will not help the situation that it may actually speed things up...where is SUPERMAN? ok BATMAN WILL DO FOR NOW...GO GET THE BAD GUYS!
