Take your car and drive around. Ask people if they have seen him. If it gets late put out a piece of strong smelling meat on your porch. If he's close by he just might smell it, and come back.

Re:
Here is what to do;

First of all, pray like crazy, and get your church to pray if you have
one.

Then, make flyers and put them at all intersections nearby.

Then go on PetHarbor.com.

If you put your zip code in you can see all the animal shelters
near you for 250 miles.
Then if you type in "Lost my Dog" you can see up-to-the-minute
dogs that come into every shelter near you.

Keep checking a few times a day.

I found one dog after 6 months!
Another I found that was lost for four weeks!

Keep trying!!
Good luck!!!

i lost 2 dogs for a week. You would be surprised by the amount of calls that came from flyers. make sure you have a pic on the flyers. put them everywhere. call the local dog catchers in your county and adjacent counties with descriptions and call back numbers. My dogs where seen everywhere but ended up in the town industrial park about 5 miles away. 4 days later we found them in some weeds and trees. they wouldnt come to us for some reason. never give up and you can even call the local police to see if they spot him.

my neighbor stole a dog of mine once. i called the police and he claimed to have raised my dog from a pup. needless to say, i called him everything but an honest man. the police turned the dog loose and it ran home. i was pissed for a long time that the police would not arrest this thief. i've moved since then thank goodness.

Oh what a horrible feeling. I have been through that five or six times in the last 30 years, and always got them back.

I will say a prayer for you. Please ignore the awful comments in this thread. Contact the shelters and put up signs and hope for the best.

oh yeah me and my wife logged alot of hours in the car searching and asking people. that is a must also. i don't know about the meat. If you have railroad tracks around check them out. sometimes dogs get on them and just start walking. then they get hit. i saw alot of dead dogs when i searched the tracks in my area. thank god my dogs didn't go that route.
