Blackadder: Baldrick, how did you manage to find a turnip that cost £400 000? Baldrick: Well, I had to haggle. |

Quoting: Wazza Have my doubts we will face a nuke I kid you not, but over the years I have met no less than three people from Texas who have all said more or less the same thing: Texas is huge, and it's bigger than Australia (although one did say Texas was only about a third the size of Australia). Man those folk are brainwashed. They are told Texas is the BIG state, and they truly believe it dwarfs Australia in geographic size. Wierd. |

Wierd. ccording to the Australian GeoScience site: Queensland's mainland area is 1 723 936 sq km, with an additional 6712 sq km in island area. The total is 1 730 648 sq km. Texas, USA - 696,241 km2 (second largest of the 50 states). Texas is only ONE THIRD the size of QLD here in Aus. And QLD is only the second largest state in Aus. Texas is really a pissy little backwater nowhere NOTHING state in comparison. |

Americans are world famous for being geographically illiterate; most don't even know where Oz is on a map. I just explain that Oz is the big island on the bottom half of the world map. |
