i love how they find a tooth in the dirt and automatically know everything about it including how old it is......

they are there to look for evidence to support their theory that they have already come up with, which is to disprove the existence of God and Jesus....

every bone and tooth will be hundreds of thousands of years old at first glance....

then, when the media quits running the story discrediting God and Jesus with an alleged 400,000 year old tooth, they will issue a two line press release that will go unnoticed in the local newspaper that reads...."tooth confirmed to be of a goat that was hit by a car the week before."

A 400,000 year old tooth doesn't discredit god.

actually, finding an older bone (not 400,000 years old but maybe 6000, lol) does upset the theory of human origin if referring to location. We know that the Garden of Eden was in the Middle East somewhere, likely Turkey, so finding an old bone in that location actually supports the biblical record.

Re: Israel Bone Discovery Could Upset Theories of Human Origin
this likely discredits more the model they use of dating layers of earth more than anything else. I read another article that states that they are likely to find more bones in that cave, like the skull. what if its the same as modern humans? they will then push everything back, but what if the answer is that they need to push everything forward. of course, they would never consider such a an idea but only because it would give more credence to the account as told by moses.

i stopped trusting the scientific community awhile ago.. they obviously have no idea wtf they're doing and are just bumbling over each other juggling grant money around and making whatever retarded claims they want, rewriting shit when they get proven wrong constantly, ridiculing any independent researchers who have conflicting information with their bible of incompetence and arrogance.

Re: Israel Bone Discovery Could Upset Theories of Human Origin
COME OOONNNN!!!! The layers were formed in seconds, that's why they find trees and other bones fossilized across many layers formed very rapidly. Evidence of a flood. But there's absolutely no way to tell when a bone was laid to rest there. The deeper the bone, the slower that dude was when the flood hit.

Why do people always just believe what an archeologist says as pure fact because he said “Well this layer should be 400,000 years old!”???? They're more wrong then a bikini on a fat woman, but nobody cares because they have a cool sounding title.

This isn't proof of anything.
The scientists haven't even finished studying the teeth that were unearthed.

If anything it will probably just end up being another piece of evidence for evolution.

Researchers: Ancient human remains found in Israel
Mon Dec 27, 6:13 pm ET

JERUSALEM – Israeli archaeologists said Monday they may have found the earliest evidence yet for the existence of modern man, and if so, it could upset theories of the origin of humans.

A Tel Aviv University team excavating a cave in central Israel said teeth found in the cave are about 400,000 years old and resemble those of other remains of modern man, known scientifically as Homo sapiens, found in Israel. The earliest Homo sapiens remains found until now are half as old.

"It's very exciting to come to this conclusion," said archaeologist Avi Gopher, whose team examined the teeth with X-rays and CT scans and dated them according to the layers of earth where they were found.

He stressed that further research is needed to solidify the claim. If it does, he says, "this changes the whole picture of evolution."

[link to news.yahoo.com]

hang on , i hope carbon dating was not used or relied on in anyway in dating of the teeth. we all know carbon dating is now useless because of the sun's emissions effecting decay rates.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1206706

Well, then it would be something like for every year it would actually have been 18 months or at least a day or two older so it would make the teeth OLDER than 400,000 years old.

Right nobody would botter in Israel. Nobody gets upset, only when there is already doubt in their own beliefs off course.

Darwinian theory is completely off target, as this latest find helps to demonstrate.

Read my book The Doctor Who Cures Cancer to find out the real deal. Real evolution is called Hierarchic Organization. It's nothing like Darwinian Theory.

The Israeli imbeciles have just found the tooth of an extinct pig, just like the Nebraska Man fiasco! [link to en.wikipedia.org]

After years of careful study, top researchers like Lord Solly Zuckerman and Professor Duane Gish concluded that the entire concept of man's evolution from an ape-like creature is a phantasm, and that all the once-sensationalised "missing-links" such as Cro-Magnon Man, Peking Man, Neanderthal Man, Java Man, Orce Man, Fontechevade Man, Wadjak Man, Grimaldi Man, Olduvai Man, Foxhall Man, Nutcracker Man, Swanscombe Man, Leaky's 1470 Man, Heidelberg Man, Galley Hill Man, Piltdown Man etc.etc., were either 100% ape, 100% homo sapiens or 100% hoax!

Stories like this are sensational...but I wish they'd confirm all that speculation BEFORE bringing the story to light. I mean I get why...usually they need to create excitement that will stir up some investors to fund the tests for the dating...but I bet this one will end up the same way the others do...inconclusive results that got a bunch of people hopped up for a bit over something that can't be proven...again.

He better watch out making claims like that. The fundamentalists will call for his head because the earth is supposedly only 6000 years old.
