User ID: 1206277 United States 12/24/2010 11:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In a NY theatre, watching the movie "The Exorcist" (#4 I think) the audience laughed when the murderer said "when I cut off the head, for an added thrill I turn it so it can see it's body". People are freaky. =============== We must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our election between economy and liberty or profusion and servitude. If we run into such debt, as that we must be taxed in our meat and in our drink, in our necessaries and our comforts, in our labors and our amusements, for our calling and our creeds... [we will] have no time to think, no means of calling our miss-managers to account but be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves to rivet their chains on the necks of our fellow-sufferers... And this is the tendency of all human governments. A departure from principle in one instance becomes a precedent for [another ]... till the bulk of society is reduced to be mere automatons of misery... And the fore-horse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression. - Thomas Jefferson AND NOW WE ARE BEING BOMBARDED WITH MESSAGES THAT OSAMA BIN LADIN IS PLANNING TO ATTACK THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. AND I'M TELLING YOU, BE PREPARED FOR A MAJOR ATTACK. BUT IT WON'T BE OSAMA BIN LADEN, IT WILL BE THOSE BEHIND THE NWO. IT IS VERY LIKELY THAT THEY WILL STAGE A TERRORIST ATTACK AND IT IS GOING TO BE BID ENOUGH THAT MARTIAL LAW COULD BE DECLARED. - BILL COOPER 06/28/2001 (3 MONTHS BEFORE 9/11) |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1206268 United States 12/24/2010 11:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Haven't seen the movie, but possibly... The child was engaging in behaviour not possible by, in and of a child. He was obviously, repeating an example of what he'd seen. Violence is a 'learned" behaviour. Although 2 wrongs, don't make a right- don't play if you're not ready, makes the point. Torturing another, living, ANYTHING, is cruel, un-called for and just, WRONG. Perhaps, the laughter was a relief, heralding all the, "just and good of thee.", implied. Maybe, it's intentional feed of emotional situations, recording response levels. |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 833846 United States 12/24/2010 11:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It was a unconscious reaction. Everyone that laughed was either hit as a child or was someone who hit children. They didn't laugh because it was funny, they laughed because it was unpleasant. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1206202Like an uncomfortable laughter to ease the tension? I don't think it was that. I just think our society is so sick and twisted and perverse, that these people actually found it funny. |

It wreaked of pedo innuendo. Disgusting. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 833846I saw True Grit today, that new Western movie. Jeff Bridges's character hit an Indian child because he was abusing an animal. The audience laughed! How is smacking a young child ever considered funny? All part of the Hollywood programming of the masses. The message the masters are sending is that abusing animals is worse than abusing kids. So when they turn your kids into sex slaves or human targets you'll feel good that at least no animal was hurt making the movie...or reality. |

The laughter was probably nervous laughter based upon the understanding that cruelty to animals indicates a troubled mind that should be reigned in if possible. Watching parents in stores allowing their children to run amuck and their cruelty not addressed because big brother and sister watch for any correction waiting to report to authorities any honest efforts at controlling behavior. These children are monsters so what will they grow up to become in my opinion they will become cruel evil monsters incapable of caring for themselves as adults. |

Yes, people should be disciplined for doing wrong, buthow is it humane to laugh at someone being disciplined!!!!!!! |

WTF is wrong with YOU? What did that donkey do to deserve that kind of treatment? Nothing. Secondly- He kicked the kids off the porch. They should have had their asses torn up. Kids got whipped with sticks called switches back then. What he did to those kids was LIGHT. And YES, it was funny. It's relieving to see someone get what's coming to them for doing bad deeds. I would have done the same thing. The kids knew they were wrong. That's why the girl laughed when the boy was booted off the first time. And yes, there was a sexual comment made towards a 14 year old girl. Boo hoo. Girls that age were getting married and starting families back then. Read history. I suggest you stick to Disney films if you are adult enough to handle a PG-13 film. |

According to your logic, since we have a historical precedent of physical abuse to children and having sex with 14-year-olds, it makes it okay in this day and age to, one, laugh about it and, two, to condone such behavior nowadays. May I remind you of the legal age for consensual sex with a minor. |

I think you are totally wrong. They, collectively felt the negative energy, imposed on them by the screen image(s). Then, in release, was laughter, for justice served. This has nothing to do with children. |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 833846 United States 12/25/2010 12:23 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In addition to desensitizing people to abuse of children in this movie, the Elite were also trying to convey another message. And that is the death of the Masons. The 14-year-old girl's father was a Mason, who was killed by an "outlaw," and she went off in pursuit of his revenge. I can't give up too much more symbolism in the movie b/c I don't want to spoil the ending. Needless to say, the Elite are about to (and already have begun the process) of sacrificing the Freemasonry head of their tentacled organization. |

If MOST people saw that sort of thing in a movie today, we would probably laugh at it. It was a sign of the times and we laugh because it seems so strange it was ever that way. GET IT? The comment you're referring to wasn't even overly sexual! (trying not to give spoilers) and he didn't act on it. Why are you against history being accurately portrayed and so pro animal abuse? |
