My favorite Christmas memory was when I was about 5 years old, I am the youngest of 4 so my parents had to spread the "joy" sparingly. I remember this HUGE present that was bigger than I was.

I was totally in awe of such a huge gift especially the big shiny ribbon and bow...and it was for ME!!!

It was a play inside dollhouse with the outside made of a type of harder cardboard material. I tore into unwrapping it after dancing around the house for about 5 minutes. Once I opened the dollhouse, "Santa" had wrapped dolls inside as well as a little tea set.

I still smile every time I think of that Christmas, never again have I ever had a gift that was taller than I was.

I don't dress up, but I gotta 3y/o waiting on Santa.

Aww that's cute. I don't dress up as Santa but I try to not disturb the fantasy of Santa (or better said Sinterklaas where I am). The fantasy of a just world, where good is rewarded and evil punished, is short lived - let the children enjoy it as long as it lasts.

His spirit is based on Pagan beliefs - but there's no 'bah humbug' about it here!

We'll be celebrating in our own Pagan way :D

+1 I dont dress up either, but my little one is 16 months for Xmas this year. I cant wait to see her rip into her gifts and stocking, which she already tries to do!

We are taking about 500lbs of dog and cat food to the "No Kill" animal shelter today.

Hope I dont come home with a carload of critters.

I think the whole "good is rewarded and evil punished" is really a great concept...ahhh if only it did happen on a more regular basis for everyone.

You are a good man Chawlee all year long. What a great idea to take food to the animal shelter. My parents used to take us to a "soup kitchen" on Thanksgiving and Christmas to help out. They no longer allow "non-food handlers" to help at our local shelters.

The kids both have slight colds so I canceled taking them to our local nursing home.

It is fun when they are little AND it does get better as they get older (our sons are 5 and 7). Have a ton of fun with her and make sure to take a ton of pictures (think paparazzi).

There's a pet store up by the Village that is goin to sell it to us for four bucks over cost.

So we are gonna get 12 40lb bags

But our Pyrenees doesnt play well with others.

Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas is guard dogs to patrol the perimeter of the property to assault anyone who trespasses.

By the way Santa, don't worry, I've told the other dogs that it's okay when you break into our house, they shouldn't bite you but just be careful of the cookies that have drool on them.
