Bless his heart.

That light sleeping no one ever being able to sneak up on you is a response to trauma. The mind will allow you to sleep deeply only when it truly believes you're safe. Otherwise, it maintains a constant vigil, even when sleeping.

I am the same way.

It's good in some ways, but it's a hard way to live.

It's good that he had you/ his family. It makes life better--makes it worth living even if you don't feel safe.

It's a great comfort to me that my daughter sleeps like a lumpy log, lol.

Much love to him, and to you.

If you are a sound sleeper, send him a big 'thanks' tonight. It's a precious gift to have been made to feel safe.

Every once in a while, Brief, I like you.

Epic post, buddy. Truly.

Thanks for passing on the gratitude to that soldier.

Every once in a while?

I vacillate.

Sometimes you're a grade-A turdbucket and I'm not so sure. lmao

Then you write something like that, and my faith is restored.

So what method do you use to weed out the weak minded?

Yeah, ok that's my ADD for ya...
Poor people do poor people things, and rich people do rich people things.

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!

when you rob Paul to give to Peter ... ... ... you will always get Peters support!

OMG! That is so scary that you posted this. This came out shortly before my dad died and as my one brother and I were driving back to the house from the hospital this song came on the radio. My very macho brother pulled over to the side of the road and started bawling. We sat and listened to this song just hugging each other crying.

Everytime I hear this song I think of that moment and cry all over again. Off to call my brother now. Thank you for the memory Celtic, it's a good but sad memory.

In seeking wisdom thou art wise; in imagining that thou hast attained it - thou art a fool. -- Lord Chesterfield
