Special friends, people who were in my life..there is something in me that wants the past to come back. I choose one random number from the inbox and phoned someone. An old flame. I remember leaving him and giving no explanation. He's still there. Still nice. I don't know he just got engaged to someone else, when I called. Still give me the usual sweet helpful "What can I do for you?" question and told me he'll be there for me always. Later I realize what an awkward moment it must be..that I left him..after so long and suddenly called on his engagement day. LOL. I don't know what's happening with me today. I am SENTIMENTAL. Half of me wants to move on, half wants to stay in the past. As I am working hard to improve myself, there is a part of me that wants to return to the past and prove myself better. Sort of. This incident made me realize that..it's time for me to close the book completely and abandon the past. Anyone on GLP also have a sentimental character? How do you deal with it? Screw them an pain! There is so much to be learned in life! Quoting: FubarMan ^^^ This And, you do have to move on at some point. Our lives are not one continual timeline. It's broke down into periods I like to think of as mini lives. You learn, you grow, then you change and move on/start over. My HS flame called me up a few months ago and was going through what you are I believe. I missed the call and she was wanting to get together since she was in town, then when I called back she said she was already headed back home. I think she just had a real bad time with her asshole husband and thought of me. Her mom gave her hell forever for breaking it off for no good reason. Our good memories are our safe places to go when we are having a hard time in our current life. As long as you remember that, the nostalgia can be a good thing as long as you only think about those times and don't try to resurrect them. =)

Sometimes, something inside me still want to relieve those memories and try to resurrect them again, not realizing that times have changed and that people have move on.
