Speaking in tongues might be neat, but it does nothing for anyone.

Speaking in tongues is one of the signs that you are possessed by a demon!!

I remember a study about 5 yrs ago where they had several people speaking in tongues and others who interpret and not one person agreed on what was being said. To speak in tongues is to speak a foreign language not of your own, that's all.

After seeing how those people act, how can anyone believe that it is from God. They are either crazy, acting (some do just because everyone else is) or under demonic influence. Never has God caused someone to lose control of themselves. If he was into doing that He could just force us to do his bidding like puppets. No love there.

Speaking in tongues is nothing but jibberish by delusional idiots. If it makes people happy I guess they should do it but it's complete nonsense.

I grew up in a christian household and its a dead setload of garbage... My parents walked around the house one speaking in tongues and the other interpreting..
I ran out of the house as soon as i was old enough..

In laymen terms. If I speak only english and 5 different cultures are in the room that do not speak or understand english and they can understand what I am saying then this is a gift from the Holy Spirit for them to understand me. Not a language of God but men hearing each other in a language they never knew. Thus speaking in tongues.

People will do absolutely anything to fit in. They have no internal courage at all and would never dream of being honest with themselves about this. It's simply the gibbering of fools.

About 15 years ago when my dad got really into the bible and going to church, he could speak in tongues. He was embarrassed and didn't want to do it in front of anyone. Then I begged to hear it cuz I didn't believe him. When he started speaking it was really weird and creepy, like he was a whole different person. A pastor told him it was a bad thing, so somehow he made it go away.

To each his own, right? It's too bad, though, that you chose the garbage portion. Hah.

This was explained to me in detail when I was a young man in church and a woman stood up shouting gibberish and ended up being ushered out.
Speaking in tongues is only a true instance if there is SOMEONE THERE AT THAT TIME that understand what was said.
When it happened at our local church in the 70s, the preacher calmly waited and asked is there anyone here that knows what this woman said? When no one stepped up, he asked to have her removed. I asked after what that was all about. He covered that area thoroughly and the fact was that it is ONLY TRUE if there is a recipient for that supposed message. Otherwise it is an attention seeker, and is supposed to be shunned for it.

99.9% are bullshit attention seekers,.... PERIOD
