To me (till now on) the biggest 'revelations' are:
- The rather fargoing spying of the US on UN-leaders and European politicians.
- That Saoudi Arabia (along with some others Arab and North-african countries) has urged the USA to attack Iran.
- That Saoudi Arabia (as an 'ally' of the USA) is also financially supporting Al Quada.

Especially the last point shows that Obama and Hillary have some explaining to do.

I believe the sites were based in the US.

I believe the wiki site is not based in the US, so there are issues doing it legally.


But the DNS servers are hosted in the US so all they'd have to do is to change the DNS entry and entry to wikileaks.org would be blocked off.

The fact that they haven't done this is telling.

They can't stop it. This is a simple answer to why the DHS hasn't shutdown the site. Because they can't. They have no power over multiple mirrors world wide. Besides the US doesn't operate the internet anymore. There are root servers outside the US, so they can't just shut stuff off world wide. The best they can do is have a bunch of kids run LOIC on a site.
