After the alleged sexual assault, King released the woman along with his note. The alleged victim and assailant were not strangers. "They left the airport together voluntarily," Hartsfield-Jackson spokeswoman Katena Carvajales told the AJC. According to the paper, the woman informed Union City authorities, who on Thursday alerted the Hogansville Police Department. Officers arrived at the man's house to find him with what appeared to be self-inflicted wounds. King is in critical condition at Columbus' Regional Medical Center, the Daily News reports. King, a behavior detection officer, has been with the Transportation Security Administration for nearly five years, spokesman Jon Allen told the AJC.
