He knew they would be sinners, he knew who would never repent an eternity before he created the universe. He sounds like a real asshole, I'm sorry but he does. Surely it is a deep and distressing tragedy for God to see his children condemn themselves to hell? Last Edited by Lucky Charms on 11/17/2010 05:59 AM 'Magically Delicious' |

He sounds like a real asshole, I'm sorry but he does. Surely it is a deep and distressing tragedy for God to see his children condemn themselves to hell? There's your problem right there. God did not create these wicked people; their parents brought them into existence. They are not God's children. They are children of their father, the devil. I'm sorry, but your statement "They are not God's children" is deeply flawed & illogical, on many levels; if your "God" created "the devil" that you appear to believe in, then, technically, any creations that occurred after that would, indeed, be of "God"'s direct lineage, thus making him the key patriarchal figure. More simply put, if you believe that "God" created everything, well...whether you happen to think certain people are wicked or not, under your own beliefs, they would all have to be "God's children" -- unless you believe that "the devil" or the human parents are greater & more powerful entities than "God", now. :) (I, personally, do not believe in "the devil", or "Hell", or the Biblical "God", but I just wanted to mention that, as there seems to be quite a bit of contradiction & confusion within your statements and beliefs. It's interesting, too, that "God" was far more wicked than "the devil" in the Bible, as "God" tortured, tormented & slaughtered (sometimes just for His own amusement & ego, even) more people than "the devil" did...yet, somehow, people have chosen to worship and glorify such a sociopathic and narcissistic monster of a being. In truth, the Biblical God really does sound like an a**hole; it's all very sad, actually, that anyone would think that the true Creator of this vast & incredible Universe were as horrific as the Bible describes "Him".) |
