User ID: 873093 United States 11/12/2010 09:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Okay, she's a fucking nasty bitch of a woman. But what I want to know is, why didn't he just exchange the letter and the signed card to begin with? Is there a rule that he can't? Until I know why he didn't do this, I feel like he was instigating her and trying to create a stink. She fell for it, and that's on her... but why didn't he trade it as was requested? As a matter of fact, I thought he came across very articulate and self-controlled after that psychotic racist woman was acting like a nutjob. I hope she was arrested. |

I'm not exactly sure, but I do believe there are rules to receiving mail. I know that postmen(women) cannot hand anyone their mail. They are required to put it in a mailbox. These were certified mail envelopes. She signed for them and received the letters, so I am pretty sure he was not allowed to return them to her. People send certified mail for a reason. Whatever she got, she knew what it was and didn't want it. So, she was trying to bully this guy into giving her back the green card so that she could say that she never received the mail. He was absolutely correct to tell her no. He was not instigating her. He was doing his job. |
BRIEF AND TO THE POINT
User ID: 381742 United States 11/12/2010 10:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | She's stupid for signing before reading who it's for, but she didn't open it...who cares what names people call each other, don't be so damned sensitive...sticks and stones ya know? Poor people do poor people things, and rich people do rich people things. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it! when you rob Paul to give to Peter ... ... ... you will always get Peters support! :Brieffromnativea: |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1160739 United States 11/12/2010 10:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | He should have told her straight out who it was from and for before she signed anything. It happens alot and I am from the NE. I asked this once at the post office (new worker there) and fortunately the new one stated that yes you can see who it is from first and yes you can decline it and walk away. Most of them do not do this and it is time that they do and not just for some but for all people. This ladys reaction might not have acted out if given that choice first. So the worker did mess up some but he did not deserve to be treated as such and I hope she is embarrassed now. I do not think he should have lost his job either. Here is a warning for people, postal workers can be ex cons by the way. Keep safe now and ask to see the letter before signing anything. |

Quoting: BRIEF AND TO THE POINTIt's called enforcing social standards. If you don't mind people yelling racial slurs at strangers in public, that's fine. No one is asking you to intercede. But there are some of us who want to live in a civil society and it is for that reason that people care about enforcing these kind of social standards. Obviously no one can make her not have racist thoughts or stop saying racist things, but this isn't the 50s and we aren't going to just sit back and keep quiet about how ignorant she is. |
