Top?? One Hundred Mistakes bush Has Made While In Office
Well, saying these are the TOP mistakes might be off a bit, and do keep in mind this offering is just a small sampling of the inumerable mistakes baby bush has made while in office.

During a prime time press conference on April 13, President Bush was asked to name a mistake that he has made since taking office and what he has learned from it. Bush, who was unable to answer the question, admitted "maybe I´m not as quick on my feet as I should be in coming up with [a mistake]." But weeks later, Bush still hasn´t answered the question. In the interest of assisting the President with this surprisingly difficult task we´ve compiled this list of 100 mistakes he has made since taking office:

Iraq

1. Failing to build a real international coalition prior to the Iraq invasion, forcing the US to shoulder the full cost and consequences of the war.

2. Approving the demobilization of the Iraqi Army in May, 2003 – bypassing the Joint Chiefs of Staff and reversing an earlier position, the President left hundreds of thousands of armed Iraqis disgruntled and unemployed, contributing significantly to the massive security problems American troops have faced during occupation.

3. Not equipping troops in Iraq with adequate body armor or armored HUMVEES.

4. Ignoring the advice Gen. Eric Shinseki regarding the need for more troops in Iraq – now Bush is belatedly adding troops, having allowed the security situation to deteriorate in exactly the way Shinseki said it would if there were not enough troops.

5. Ignoring plans drawn up by the Army War College and other war-planning agencies, which predicted most of the worst security and infrastructure problems America faced in the early days of the Iraq occupation.

6. Making a case for war which ignored intelligence that there were no Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq.

7. Deriding "nation-building" during the 2000 debates, then engaging American troops in one of the most explicit instances of nation building in American history.

8. Predicting along with others in his administration that US troops would be greeted as liberators in Iraq.

9. Predicting Iraq would pay for its own reconstruction.

10. Wildly underestimating the cost of the war.

Hi Pollyannuh!hf

It´s part of public record. You certainly can´t refute that. I´m sure they´ll try their hardest to do that, though.

Yes, Bush has made many mistakes. But it beats the one mistake Kerry would´ve made were he in office now, and that would be letting his wife make decisions.

I don´t recall Kerrys wife killing any of her ex boyfriends by running over them in the car...
Can you say the same for our first lady?

Pundit, I take it that you´ve never had the pleasure of meeting Theresa. She´s certainly not a Stepford wife, and given what I´ve observed about her, I highly doubt she´d just plop herself down in the Oval office desk chair.

Your assumptions are for naught, anyway, as baby bush was shoved down our throats and sadly we will never know exactly what a Kerry/Edwards team would have been able to do FOR our country.

Instead, we have to sit back and bit*ch about what bush is doing TO our country.

Horrible times, just horrible.

Polly,

I did´nt have to meet Teresa Heinz-Ketchup to know she was not playing with a full deck, not to mention her globalist/elitist persuasion.

Pundit, why do you have to insult or denigrate?

Can´t you just make your point, intelligently without debasement?

For your information, she is extremely intelligent, charismatic, sincere, and as with many other women involved in politics and service to community, unselfish with her time and her money.

Making blanket statements based on emotions rather than fact amounts to absolutely no statement at all, Pundit, except to show ignorance.

Polly,

Opinions are like rectums--everyone has one, some smell worse than others. My opinion, for what it´s worth, is based on listening to Teresa speak in public. If doing that is ignorant, then I´m ignorant.

Pundit, you´re not the only one who bases their opinion on what we´re spoon fed by the media.

The trick to true insight is by using whatever means is available to you to learn about the subject and not allow the spin doctors to direct your course of reasoning.

I have met Theresa, and actually followed her philantropic activities when she was married to a Republican Senator, and I admired her even then.

She is a good woman who, in this case, happens to be married to a man who ran for President.

I´ll take your comments on, A.C. 1500.

You wrote:

Me: Ya think? Nah. Remember, it´s not MY crap. It´s YOUR president´s crap I´m posting about.

You wrote:
He will never be impeached, He will be loved

Me: Give it time, A.C., he may not be impeached, but his actions will be a teaching tool for all Americans to witness what NOT to put in office the next time.

You wrote:
He will put a conservative supreme court judge

Me: That´s a given, but that appointment won´t come without more rancor spread throughout the land.

You wrote:

Me: Highly doubtful. See this:

Bush’s Speech Fails to Stop His Slide in the Polls

On June 28, Bush delivered a primetime speech intended to pump up support for the Iraq war and, just as important, pump up his sliding overall poll numbers, which have been hurt severely by the continuing violence in Iraq.

It does not appear he succeeded. First, let’s review where Bush was before the speech to get a sense of just how steep the hill he needed to climb was and then we’ll see how far he got up that hill. Here’s an excerpt from a USA Today story about a Gallup poll conducted on the eve of Bush’s speech.

“Just one in three Americans now say the United States and its allies are winning the war, according to a USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup Poll taken Friday through Sunday [June 24-26]. That is a new low, down 9 percentage points since February. Half say neither side is winning.....
