UNREAL!! Free your mind and the rest will follow. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God...Romans 12:2 BE the change you wish to see in the world. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 838578 United States 10/27/2010 09:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | NAGOYA, Japan (AFP) – Spectacular species previously unknown to the outside world are being discovered in the Amazon rainforest at a rate of one every three days, environment group WWF said in a report published Tuesday. Quoting: domesticangelAn anaconda as long as a limousine, a giant catfish that eats monkeys, a blue fanged spider and poisoned dart frogs are among the 1,220 animals and plants to have been found from 1999 to 2009, according to the study. Full story here... [link to news.yahoo.com] It would be great if someone could post the pics :) This is a suprise? There are VAST amounts of the ocean that no human has ever laid eyes on. The last estimate that I heard is that there are probably 10 million species on the planet, and we have identified 2 million. There is a TON of new lifeforms to discover on our very own planet. |

Or is it because they've found a family of them? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1132606Maybe these critters really are new. There's a shift in realities going on right now, you know. If they were only finding "1" of something that would really be tragic since that species could be lost forever if the one thing died. |

We'd never be able to keep up with cataloging all that new stuff! But there are still ALOT of people that are unaware that this is going on. Most people are clueless as to what they are finding in the rainforsest and really don't care if it's destroyed or not. They have better things to do than worry about some jungle that's way over there in some other country. I don't want to see the oceans destroyed either. It's unreal what they do to the waters everywhere. That also needs to be stopped. To accept excuses like "oh we need to drill for oil to have gas for your cars, and electricity, blah, blah, blah" is now a cop-out. We KNOW there are better alternatives for energy. We do not have to continue to destroy the pristeen oceans and sealife to power our homes or autos! So, the more people who are aware, the more word gets around. And hopefully the destruction can be stopped! |
