So 23% unemployment uh? Nice.

I noticed yesterday they said it was higher than 10% but this morning news dropped it back down to 9.6%. What bunch of liars they are.

Just curious - what makes you think it's BS?

daj drew sent out over 37 appz, bc he lost his job again after 3 months. he employed by a temp agency right now. i sent him back to college. he pulling dbl duty right now. but despite the economy im opening biz number 3 and he will work for me. im done with pvt sector. fuck them.

the ed he will get in 2 yrs, assoc degree i will have a job for him with scientific game. (theyre one of my customers ) but he will be going for the BA

Canada is not much better ~ Perhaps you could speak to either a more blatant group of liars or perhaps a booming economy? I am not aware of a similar SGS type group showing 'real' UE stats from Canada.

There was little change in employment in September, as full-time gains were offset by part-time losses. The unemployment rate edged down 0.1 percentage points to 8.0%, as fewer people, particularly youth, participated in the labour market. [link to www.statcan.gc.ca]

Because, as the SGS site indicates the numbers do not count the U6 stat nor other 'discouraged' workers ~ the SGS chart SHOWS that. Also, if you follow the official reporting, the stats are always tweaked AFTER the report comes out ~ but the official % never is adjusted. One merely needs to dp their own fact-finding and not swill the pablum of gov-speak.

OK, I understand that, I thought you were referring to the private sector number in particular.

problem is beyond pvt sector.....theyre ass raping small biz.

We need to take a look at who is becoming unemployed and who isn't.

Who is.

People working in financial sectors, legal and government related sectors. Particularly in large cities. Most of these jobs were created buy bubbles. Bubbles that were blown illegally, and behind the people's back.

Next would be people in those cities who supported those workers. Pizza, hot dog stands, barber shops, taverns, diners, post offices, restaurants, police departments, clothing, auto repair shops, PC businesses, etc. When large sections of cities implode, so do all the businesses that support those people.

Government. Many agencies that were previously growing, are now shrinking. Less taxes coming in from two arenas. The bubble arena, and the working class arena who just lost a good chunk of their savings due to the collapse.

Housing. When people loose their jobs as bubbles collapse, the people above that is, they loose their homes. This means banks will be taking hits, and laying off. Those that don't loose their homes and are hanging on, have to cut back. The fist bill they don't pay is taxes. Everything else is necessity. This again further hurts the supports sectors and governments that were growing.

THIS IS ALL GOOD.

Those above jobs were not only created illegally but were damaging the working class by creating unstable investment platforms, making it difficult to get loans, and giving a false sense of net worth.

Who will be effected the least.

People in the country
People that produce (products, foods, farms, fishing, etc.)
People that didn't borrow too far beyond their means
People not afraid to put hours in
People that don't chase an easy buck

The collapse is here and most the ones collapsing are the ones that need to collapse. The blue collar working class out in the country will be fine, and fortunately, make up the majority of this country. Heck, if it wasn't for the blue collar working class, there would be no other class!!!!

Be self sufficient
Depend on no other
Learn as many trade skills as you can
Dont borrow
Dont live beyond your means
Put savings into gold & silver
Teach others what you know

The corruption will purge itself from the system on its own.

Except of course, if you're dumpster diving or living under a freeway overpass. Then the rate just plain isn't believable.

Of course they did. I expected just that. It's an old sales ploy - sell something at $9.95 versus $10.00 because all sheeple see is the "9" and think it's considerably cheaper...all of a nickel's worth.

Investors Business Daily™ commissioned a poll and found the actual unemployment rate to be appx 28%. that was a few months ago, i need to go check to see if they updated it.

I was guessing 9-21%, but your 23% works for me as well. That computes to about 20% of the work force (or 30 Million). Factor in the "working poor" and that portends a depression model.
I'd say watch the Christmas shopping season, but they'll pump those figures up too.
Sadly, there is next to nothing you can trust with the spin doctors known as our government public servants. They don't serve the public. They serve the bankers, wall street firms and the corporations.
