This signal did not contain any specific information about the location of the fire within the building. From the alarm system monitor service view, the building had only one zone, “AREA 1.” The building fire alarm system was placed on TEST for a period of 8 h beginning at 6:47:03 a.m. on September 11, 2001. Why is asbestos so crucial to the case for World Trade Center insurance fraud? Because any substantial remodeling of the Twin Towers--e.g., to accommodate new tenants or new needs--would have required costly asbestos removal. I'm not sure whether the New York City Department of Environmental Protection would have absolutely, legally required such removal, but it's obvious that commercial realities and public opinion would have done so. No new tenant would agree to move onto a floor whose asbestos has just been stirred up by remodeling, nor would a customer want to visit such a floor.

Interesting but there is more money in insurance scams and that is clearly not the motivation, unless the box cutters were supposed to be used to remove all the asbestos.

Within hours of the 9/11 attack, Silverstein was angling to collect $7.1 billion in insurance money rather than $3.55 billion:

Flight 93 was meant to hit Building 7. Since that didn't happen it left them with a building full of explosives and that my friend is a lot of evidence, they pretty much had to bring it down to cover it all up.

Larry Silverstein is the one of most honest, caring and moral people you could ever find. I saw a interview with him where he expressed great sorrow for the 9-11 victims.
