Quoting: Anonymous Coward 902005[link to www.emsc-csem.org] [link to earthquake.usgs.gov] I'm half expecting USGS to flip flop their readings soon. I think the 7.3 happened first and the 6.9 happened after. That would be more in line with what EMSC is reporting too. Maybe they have an intern at the wheel at USGS today??!! LOL! |
Doubtless

Quoting: KachinaDoubt it, this happened roughly 30minutes apart if it was <5minutes apart then there would be room for error. GLP = Whirlwind of stupid. :IslamLol: |

They have changed the mag of these quakes numerous times already. The second EQ has ranged anywhere from a 6.2 to a 7.3!! That's a pretty big margin of error I'd say. |

User ID: 1025365 United Kingdom 07/18/2010 12:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Don't be too surprised to hear of a quake situated around Lima/Arequipa in the coming few days as continental drift and the P-Wave affects this stretch of the Pacific Subduction Zone. Aside from the 8.8 which hit in February the plate has yet to rebound Northwards in South America, ever since Convectivity began just after the 2004 9.1 Earthquake in Banda Acheh. Lima should be preparing, if not already, for a major quake on the way in the coming year/s. |
