You need to purify your nadis in your body using diet (no milk, fish, meat or egg products or anything grown in the ground) and pranayama. Go get some instruction in doing yoga purification practices combined with breath retention (1:4:2 ratio). After you have practised these consistently and with application for a few months, you will develop lightness of being and your practise with move forward with ease..

WTF is LEFT??? No, seriously... Cardboard, maybe?

Cardboard is made from wood pulp, trees grown in the ground. You should know better!

Seriously, balance with the needs. The sodium-potassium-water 3-legged stool must be adhered to (search engine sodium potassium pump) so every cell is functioning correctly. 1:3 on the sodium to potassium ratio with at least 6 glasses of good water, all 3 spread out over the entire day. Too much or too little of any of the 3 and an imbalance is dangerous and invites diseases and conditions.

1.5 gms of protein for every kilo of LEAN body weight per day, no processed grains or sugars/starches and you'll be adequately, not perfectly, arranged.
 Quoting: tkwasny

:Silly-MG: Sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium with the water is necessary. I am changing my diet. That's part of what I did to numb down today, eat badly. Junk food.

I have a garden growing lots of lovely green things I plan to visit tomorrow. I BOMMISE! (misspell intentional)

dont be in no hurry. Everything i ever hurried at didnt work out so well and i ended up making many reruns on various human foibles.
To really set you at ease there are utube videos on quantum phisics, vibrations and matter. Once you peruse this you will come to the obvious conclusion that you are, but cannot define where! Therefore the "I AM" in many religions is voiced and some gurus will say to "just BE"
For me , being german and very stubborn i had to experiment and verify as best i could.
Point to all this is that you ARE whether you have a body or not and yes i have proved that to my satisfaction.
Therefore you cannot die. Now the question becomes, how well can you live since so many are asleep (Caught in the illusion). I am 1mealperday on utube and nowhere near perfect yet. Good nite

Re: Experienced meditators? I really need some help with a meditation problem.
Every time I get into the "zone" for more then one or two days I start experiencing this GAWD AWEFUL wrestles legs syndrome in my legs and arms. It feels like I am crawling out of my skin and is completely unbearable. It is worse then a muscle cramp.

I have experienced all sorts of unpleasant symptoms before, this is not what I am talking about. I can wade through pain and nightmares with out much trouble.. this is UNBEARABLE!

So I push past it and the further I go the worse it gets. It gets so bad that it starts up just thinking about it.

Does anyone know what it is? How to solve this?

I want to proceed, but after last night I did everything I could do today to numb out and fall back to "sleep," back into the false world. The despair over this dilemma is going to kill my soul.

Interesting you should ask:)

I'm actually doing a meditation program right now. They explain what you are going through as your body trying to bring up it's wounds and get you to pay attention. Because you are meditating, you are in a state of present time awareness - so this is why this surfaces. When you are not meditating, you are distracted with thoughts of the past or the future, so the present doesn't surface.

To get through this you need to give whatever is hurting or bothering you your full attention while you breath at a steady pace. Tell whatever part of you that is trying to get your attention that you are watching, that you are paying attention and will not ignore it. Then focus on the center of that pain, not with annoyance, but with compassion, like you were soothing a hurt child. Keep breathing and focusing. At first it may seem to get worse, just like a child might cry harder when it knows you are paying attention finally, but keep breathing your compassion into the pain and it will fade.

I've been doing this for weeks and it really seems to help.

For the time being sit up in a dinning room of office type chair. Concentrate only on your breathing - deep breath in and out. Take the breath down to your stomach, make that area move. then breath out from the stomach up, slowly.

Re: Experienced meditators? I really need some help with a meditation problem.
The one rule about meditation that Westerners either exclude or don't think about is the absolute stillness part.

If you go to a Buddhist temple and learn to meditate, some guy will hit you with a large stick every time you fidget or move AT ALL. When I first learned of this I was horrified and thought it was ridiculous.

However, after working on meditation myself, I found it was an important and significant aspect of the practice. There is a point where mind over matter has to occur for you to go to the next level. And believe me, I know how hard it is. Your mind will come up with all kinds of tricks to get you to NOT find that stillness. You have to get your concentration to the level that you can still overlook it, see the frustration come up, fight it, and then learn to let it go.

Re: Experienced meditators? I really need some help with a meditation problem.
I live in a really large city, but had taken those reiki tummo classes in another city 2 hours away. i just came back recently from one of their spiritual retreats. great stuff and, of course, never close to home. must travel for their courses and they teach it worldwide.

I find when I get rls, i've been concentrating on something too long and i'm uncomfortable and need to stop - such as reading too much, meditating too long, etc. Sometimes if feels like a block that wants to go through, but it can't pass through. othertimes if feels as if I'm just plain tired of something and it bothers me. i dont rush or force it. forcing seems to contradict and make things worse. it only goes through if I can smile at it, but it's so difficult to smile at the pain that comes with it. sometimes negative energy being flushed out causes the restlessness. i also read that the sacral chakra controls the legs, and i've had problems in that area for many other things - some known and unknown reasons. i don't question it.

good luck.

btw, the hyland's calm is a homeopathic remedy, not herbal. it's low enough that you get the minerals, but tritruated? enough that it works on an energetic level. i use hylands cell salts or other cell salts on occassion. works nicely at times.

Thank you!! I really appreciate your help. Your comments on force are very insightful. I am attempting to keep things in the moment and with out expectations. Last night I found a yoga video about spine twisting. Somehow that seemed very important. In fact as I was reading your reply the rls started in my arms again and a spine twist released it.

I'll look into finding a reiki instructor locally. Sunny

Re: Experienced meditators? I really need some help with a meditation problem.
i'm sorry to inform you, but reiki tummo is completely different from usui reiki or any other reiki form. it is a heart centered spiritual yoga program that uses reiki, shing chi, kundalini, earth core energies for clearing the energy body. reiki tummo has a unique attunement and getting one from an unauthorized person can have consequences unknown (usually you create karma that way). reiki tummo, when they attune you, it clears the shushumna column (like a hollow pipe) straight down from crown to root chakra in level 1 and cracks the kundalini core. in level 2, they open the shushumna some more and open the kundalini, then the kundalini fire goes to the chest or higher depending on the person's growth level. all of this is based on the highest power and law available- the law of love, so no karma is being made while doing this process. there are several authorized individuals to attune a person, but it must be through their group classes only. i've been told and read countless times that the results can not be guaranteed if an unauthorized person attunes you. traditional usui reiki doesn't clear the shushumna completely and only goes to the heart chakra. reiki tummo is a completely new and developed program that is heart centered and offers the possibility of yoga in one life time. i've been using their program since nov. 2008 and it's been great and very, very fast in terms of spiritual growth. their meditation class cleans the pineal gland and we're not serious when we meditate, it's joyful. we connect to the source through our heart and inner heart to learn the truth and to be guided properly in our spiritual journey. sure we cry and have to release things, but it's generally very joyful and get's better and better. anyway, it takes ppl decades or lifetimes to get the kundalini open, this program will open it in day 2. :)

www.padmacahaya.com - they offer long distance attunements, but it depends on how far do you live from the closest classes.

check out yahoo groups kundalini_reiki. the founder/grand master offers a free monthly usui reiki attunement in this group to try out.

seriously, i only went in for kundalini and reiki, thinking i'm killing two birds with one stone, but it's a lot more than i expected in a great way. it's an incredible, joyful journey. all i could say is, "Wow!"

It's all the love of True Source.

Many are concerned with sitting still.
Is it not better to have control of self, awareness of self during all the day? During movement?! Walking meditation exhibits this idea in a practical manner which i applied in my dayli life.
it boils down to ..Where is my ATTENTION?
Watching TV and getting absorbed in the drama, the music etc can make you cry because your attention was there. And there lies the key to self control over the mind and emotion. Observe yourself as you withdraw your eyes from the tv, moving your attention elsewhere on purpose and see how quick the athmosphere changes.
Often others take your attention by them directing it.And many of us dont notice.

meditating is like going to church on sunday and being a prick the rest of the week. Truly self awareness ought to be a standard practice for all of us.

hey OP,

I was the one that made the comments of 'foriegn entities'.

to explain a little more...

Humans are connected to ideas. Those ideas are merely concoctions we have made up since we were born...habits, beliefs.

those habits and beliefs are stored within us and actually have a 'life of their own'. These are not 'us' but we think they are. These are what give us our thoughts. Your thoughts are not your own. ...believe it or not.

when you try to CLEAR your 'self' ...those habits and beliefs REBEL against you...their program is to survive...and 'they' will try to get you to believe that 'you' need to stop what you are doing..RIGHT NOW!!

so..the RLS is a manifestation of a dying habit or false belief that is about to be dissolved.

it's all about stillness.
Learning about becoming TOTALLY UNREACTIVE to the terror of the mind and body. ...

nothing real can be harmed, nothing unreal exists.

nothing false can live in stillness.

1000mg MAGNESIUM and 400mg CALCIUM each day permanently eliminated long-term chronic restless limbs for me.

Used to be horrible, no sleep.

Heard this once and tried it and never had a problem again.

Hope this helps!

Actually it is a single supplement that I take and it also has 15mg Zinc.

The bottle says:

Spring Valley
Calcium Magnesium and Zinc Bone Health Dietary Supplement. Each pill has 100% recommended daily dosage of each of the three minerals.

Calcium 1000mg
Magnesium 400mg
Zinc 15mg

I took two for the first few day and the restless limbs disappeared overnight.

I am 49/female and suffered for 20 years with a pillow between my legs like it would help, NOT! Started after my two children were born.

I don't take them all the time but if I notice the cramps flaring up again all it takes is one or two before bedtime and I'm good.

I'm just sorry I waited so long to try it.

Good luck, these are available at Walmart in Michigan.

I'm just sorry I waited so long to try it.

Good luck, these are available at Walmart in Michigan.

WOW!! I do take these supplements.. but not at those levels! Thank you! I'll increase my does. As I said, my guts say it is a combo deal between diet and body memories. I greatly appreciate your information.

Re: Experienced meditators? I really need some help with a meditation problem.

Every time I get into the "zone" for more then one or two days I start experiencing this GAWD AWEFUL wrestles legs syndrome in my legs and arms.

IF you were even CLOSE to being 'in the zone', you wouldn't notice those symptoms.

You NEED to find a guru to help you, it seems clear you're not doing it right.

you obviously have never meditated correctly.

during meditation one goes through the true refiners fire.

Re: Experienced meditators? I really need some help with a meditation problem.
one can not self attune if one does not have proper authority.

with the divine energy cleaning the shushumna from top down and the kundalini energy cleaning the shushumna from down up, eventually the kundalini core starts to rise above. once the core passes the crown chakra, you start to go into other dimensions and meet other spiritual teachers. depending on the level you're at and the teachers you get, you can get authority or any ability to do certain things to bring into this dimension - unless someone who has authority passes it on to you here on Earth.

one can have a still mind, but no joy. your true self is in the heart, not the mind. enjoy.

"Proper Authority"? From a human in body? Or from these other dimensions?

When my lower back is out, I sometimes get that too.
