Million's Dead Along Gulf Coast??? Big Oil Doesn't Issue Warnings!
The warning we are all waiting for... it will never come. Big Oil is notorious for denying responsibility. After all, if they just deny, deny, deny... then they eventually run out of living people to pay. Just as a doctor treats a disease that they have no experience in dealing with. Treat it symptomatically. So many experts have come forward saying that the danger is in the toxidity of the oil, in the methane gasses building under the surface. Where are all of the air quality tests? Why are the numbers of the sick count being hidden?

BP executives are off playing golf, our president admits that he takes "full responsibility" effectively letting big oil off, yet again.

For those of you that don't know about what Union Carbide did to Bhopal... well, have a look, have a search. Half of the LA Perish Presidents look like they've taken a beating and every time I see someone reporting with one of them on camera, they are alone. We have to take a stand, or we will surely fall! We are being lied to, tricked. Will it continue until we get our call, in the middle of the night. Is that what it will take? American babies littering the streets? When is enough, enough?

I cannot get the video to embed properly. Any likely reason why?

I think I was talking to someone about Bhopal India shortly before we heard about the blowout , April 20th.

I'm not psychic, but my subconscious is.

Another thing I find equally disturbing is that the NOAA reports great ... no.. FANTASTIC air quality for every region effected by the oil spill. Makes you wonder excatly what portion of the air they are testing. How broad and wide, and how reliable their information is. It would be nice to find more information on how we can do this for ourselves. Sad thing is, methane creeps in like a sneaky death cloud. Warning no one.

lol, right Benjamin. You know, most people in America don't know much about what goes on with Big Oil, because they commit most of their atrocities in 3rd world countries ... where jobs and money are so scarce, it's like dangling food in front of the starving. They feel they've nothing to lose, so how can they turn it away...

I feel like it's only a matter of time before some of those toxic gasses, at least SOME of them, reach us. We've all heard Matt Simmons' broadcast by now. Gas masks, the single most basic defense we have against this. I haven't seen not a damn one being offered out anywhere. Just think of what could have happened if that hurricane would have went directly over the spill, carrying those gasses inland. That was a chance our government was willing to take with us. Through all their deployment of troops, ambulances, water and food in preparation for Hurricane Alex, not one truckload of gasmasks did I see. WHY?

Re: Million's Dead Along Gulf Coast??? Big Oil Doesn't Issue Warnings!
Recently when I was discussing this whole thing with one of the people that work, lower on the chain with BP, but not at the bottom, I brought up the possibility that the government (US) would seize control of BP's assets and force them to be liable for this spill. Under shroud of some very stiff comments via the US government. His reply was this,

"We spoke of that recently at work... BP will just dismantle the factories and send them back to the UK"... I laughed at him. I said, "there's no way that will happen, they're screwed... They're gonna have to deal with this one".

Well, I retract my earlier response. They've gotten off quite nicely I'd say. Waiting around for mother nature to get involved in the way of a hurricane or some other "natural" event... that way they can wash their hands of it all, and say it wasn't their fault. One can't help but wonder if this was the plan in the beginning. The story the other night about the sub-company of BP that BP formed to "test leak response options from deep sea drilling"... actually isn't a "research" company at all. They're a company like any other company, and the budget they received for "drill leak research" was $0.00. This is what the government relied on for over 60 days as "technology" that would solve the problem.

Meanwhile keeping other countries at bay that had offered and offered help... and had only been rejected over and over. Funny it isn't until someone blows the whistle that our government allows other countries to finally give their help. See, we were all circled under the pre-disposition that SUCKING UP THE OIL WAS THE PROBLEM... Well, that's not the whole problem. If that gas gets onto land, that's going to be the big problem. The silence from the government tells me that the NEWS ISN'T GOOD. Because after all, if they don't like how it sounds, we don't hear about it msm. If it's not msm, it's not true... WRONG!

I think you're looking in the right direction, Jen.

BP cares about a few million rednecks just as much as Union Carbide did about those poor folks in Bhopal.

Same thing, different skin color.

Rednecks... aka... RED BLOODED AMERICANS!

You know, my Daddy was a redneck. Worked in oil all of his life. I remember one day when a buddy of his got a whiff of that gas back in 1982, the guy fell over and died right there on the platform of the well. I think they gave his family a very small amount of money to be quiet... it really upset my Dad, to the point he quit his job. I guess you're right, I shouldn't be surprised. But I am. I keep asking the question, "where are all the white hats"... well...

WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU AT?

I'm still a little girl, living in a fairy tale, waiting for the prince on the white horse to ride in and save me...

Such a sap I am. I'd better start saving myself, because I think he must have gotten car-jacked!

You know... someone out there is bound to be doing some testing. From another country maybe. Possibly one that doesn't give a shit about the current 'agenda'... sad thing is, no one will listen to that either.

Oh... this is good! Well, I wonder if you compare the Gulf of Mexico to Lake Kivu... how many more billions of dollars this methane harvest will be worth.
