I saw this movie last night and it was ok, sort of silly at times.
I don't want to give away the whole plot, but in the movie Tom Cruise is a black op govt guy who meets up with a passinger on a flight. Together they have all kinds of experiences with Cruise saving her life from other black op and CIA folks.
Ok..in the first instance Cruise saves Diaz, he tells her that people are going to wan't to talk to her..i.e " bad govt " people.
He then warns her that if they tell her that they are going to take her to a " safe place " it means they are going to kill her. He also tells her that if they use any of the following words..
SAFE- SAFETY- SECURE- STABILIZE
That really means that they are going to kill you.
That theme ( these code words ) was played out through the whole movie.
I think the main message of this movie is that..when the govt tells us that we're SAFE, or..they need to do something for our SAFETY or that things are SECURE and that things will STABILIZE after time..means that,
The Govt REALLY wants to KILL us.
I think these " code words " we're given to us not to believe them when they tell us that we're SAFE.
Just my take.
