It is famous for its dangerously erratic weather, and long held the record for the highest wind gust directly measured at the Earth's surface, 231 mph (372 km/h) on the afternoon of April 12, 1934.[4] It was known as Agiocochook, or "Home of the Great Spirit", before European settlers arrived.[5] The mountain is located in the Presidential Range of the White Mountains, in Coos County, New Hampshire. It is the third highest state high point in the eastern U.S. and the most prominent peak in the Eastern United States. While nearly the whole mountain is in the White Mountain National Forest, an area of 59 acres (0.24 km2) surrounding and including the summit is occupied by Mount Washington State Park.... So what do you guys think? Mt. Washington? |

I had thought about dormant volcanoes, but I was worried about them erupting after the old cones were removed. But thank you very much for the suggestion. If God actually answers me, and wants me to chose another mountain, I'll possibly suggest that one. Thanks! I have to look into the height and location, first, of course. Thank you all. I'll see you on this particular thread, this coming Saturday night. I'll be around on other threads, I think, as normal, well, as normal as normal is around here. Thank you all who helped. :) |

The mountain must not have many houses on it or any too close by. 2. It still needs to be near a populated area, so that if it should come up missing, it would be noticable. 3. It needs to be made of a material that is relatively solid, not anything like a pile of sand stone or loose volcanic ash. This is a serious question, believe it or not, I could really use help on this. Northern New Mexico, the southern part of the Rockies. |
